Summary: A beautiful cottage with everything a family of four could need. Thoughtfully decorated and has a very cosy homely feel to it. The owners are incredibly welcoming and were very helpful throughout, from booking to arrival. Situated in stunning countryside with numerous walks to satisfy all tastes. Some lovely pubs for lunch, some walkable and some just a short drive. Portsmouth, Southampton and Winchester are only 30 minutes drive and so there is plenty to do locally for all ages. We highly recommend this and will definitely go back next year.

Summary: We have just returned from an amazing week in Cobb Cottage. The cottage has been renovated to top standard, all mod cons but still retaining the character. The welcome pack was very welcoming and unexpected. A very relaxing and homely cottage, romantic if just two of you with the four-poster bed and roll top bath in the en-suite but plenty of room for four with the other double bedroom and shower room/toilet downstairs. We visited Winchester, Portsmouth and Marwell Zoo all within 30minute drive and the beautiful town of Alresford with the Watercress line, 10 minutes up the road. Plenty to do nearby and also a charming garden to sit in with a glass or two in the evening listening to the birds. It was a pleasure to stay in your delightful cottage and you can see how much love you have both put into renovating it to its current very high standard.

Summary: My husband and I spent the first week of September 2019 in Cob Cottage - a beautifully-restored thatched cottage which is 'picture-book' pretty and is equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. For us it was a mainly a central base for the many attractions in the area we wanted to visit, so we were out in the car every day, but the location would also offer lots of scope for country walks. We loved Cob Cottage and warmly recommend it for a quiet and relaxing break.

Summary: This is truly spectacular place to stay. In the middle of beautiful countryside. The owners are very welcoming and friendly, they are local and offered support but didnt intrude on our stay. When you arrive there is a welcome pack of goodies in the kitchen which is great after a long hot journey, before you have managed to get supplies in or arrange the Asda delivery (they deliver here). The cottage is exceptionally well equipped with all mod cons. A bathroom upstairs and down was lovely. All the rooms are newly decorated and comfortably furnished, the beds are lovely and comfortable too. The owners restrict young children as the stairs are steep (and the steps are narrow) however it's a short flight of stairs and we managed them fine despite being not too mobile. Dogs are welcome and are offered their own welcome pack. The garden is very secure even for my little escape artist Chihuahuas. Extra blankets were provided to lay out in case they jumped on the furniture which gave me piece of mind. A friendly dog Fleur lives next door but never barked at my 2 barking horrors - all we could hear was her wagging tail banging on the fence. Cob cottage is attached to another but we never heard a sound from next door. There is a farm court yard immediately on the other side of the cottage's small garden. The farm doesn't have animals so there is no noise or smell. There is however a couple of holiday lets in the converted building which is very close to Cob Cottage. We heard people noise from there but nothing excessive, it was hot and we all had windows and doors open. But if you think you will be in total peace and isolated in the country side this is not the case. There is also a field for caravans on the farm site but they are far enough away to not cause any difficulty. The only issue is that you are strictly forbidden to set foot or car on the farm / holiday site. We made the mistake of walking up the lane (there were no signs saying not to or gates to stop us) which was the holiday/farm's land. Instead of the owner popping out and asking us not to do it again they contacted the owner and we had a formal letter through the door the next morning. We then noticed that the farm/holiday site owner was watching our every move from their house, she was constantly at her kitchen window or in her conservatory watching.
