Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Pumphouse. Fran and Alan were the perfect hosts, full of information about the area when asked and especially the history linked to the Pumphouse, without being too intrusive. Easy to isolate completely, but still within a 40 minute walk across the fields to Rothbury and similar drive to the coast. The layout is good, the beds are exceptionally comfortable and we have even booked to go back in a couple of months time, can’t wait! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: An enjoyable week walking just as holiday cottages were reopened after being unavailable due to COVID-19 restrictions. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. We loved watching the birds in the garden in the peace and quiet. The Old Pumphouse is a pleasant half hour stroll into Rothbury where there is a choice of pubs and coffee shops some of which were trying to start and trade again. Fran and Alan were excellent hosts - both approachable and friendly and that added to our much needed week away. Thanks to you both. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: Lovely place, very calm and peaceful, we didn’t want to leave, only downside for us maybe was that the nearest pub is a 40min walk, though really not a problem if you want an escape from it all break, lovely place and lovely helpful but not at all intrusive owners next door, we will stay there again 😊👍
