If you like peace and quiet, this property is for you. This one cottage along with the owner's house is all that is on a 30 acre tract of land surrounded on 3 sides by Corps of Engineer property to keep us from being too close to the lake. Even though, we can't access the lake on our property the closest public area, Caddo Drive Area is just past our driveway. DeGray Lake Resort State Park is 3 miles from our driveway. Edgewood Drive and Caddo Drive areas offers swimming, boat ramps, and picnicking. Our Cottage includes towels, (bring towels for the lake) dishes, pots, pans, etc Caddo Cottage is completely furnished along with 40" t.v., satellite, DVD, microwave, coffee pot, stove, dishwasher, charcoal grill (bring charcoal & lighter) and fire pit. For the children, we have a lot of unique playground equipment. Be sure to notice our HUGE deck under roof with porch swing , benches and large picnic table.
Caddo Cottage has a double and queen size bed in EACH bedroom. We can accommodate up to 4 adults and up to 4 children.

Summary: We didn’t stay Thursday 4/10/25. We checked in Friday 4/11/25 and checked out 4/12/25. Also the air conditioner didn’t work that was my only issue. Other than that the place was beautiful and a good stay.

Summary: My kids loved this place! Absolutely beautiful scenery. The kids toys outside entertained my little ones for hours, they didn’t want to go home. The inside is a bit dated and smells a little musty, but once the A/C circulated air and we lit a candle we brought, it wasn’t an issue. The property owners are real nice folks as well. It’s a great value for the price and I had to promise my kids we’d come back.

Summary: It was pleasant and clean. New firepit is amazing. Very quiet which we enjoyed tremendously. Owners are very nice.

Summary: My family, including two adults and five kids ages ranging from 3 to 13 stayed here for the April 2024 eclipse. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive. The house was very clean and was exactly as described in the listing. The kids loved playing on the playground equipment outside and since the property is a ways back on a driveway, we were very comfortable letting them be outside on their own. Keep in mind that there is no wi-fi and cell service is very spotty (T-Mobile). We expected this, so it was no problem at all. There are four beds, so we had the kids doubled up on a few, again this was expected and exactly as stated in the listing. The location is about 30 minutes from Hot Springs where there is lots to do. Highly recommend for families with kids!
