Enjoy this piece of paradise in an updated 1910’s bungalow. Swim, Play corn hole, ring toss, bocce ball. Walk to downtown, free trolley (in-season), museums, restaurants, art galleries, live theatre, bicycle rentals. Drive to beaches: Four Freedoms, Yacht Club, Bunche, Fort Myers Beach, Lover’s Key, golf courses, natural preserves.
There are many spaces in the home for relaxation, socializing and enjoying.
The front sitting room is a wonderfully quiet space to sit, read, take in a game of backgammon, chess or cards and enjoy a cup of something warm or festive.
The living room has lots of sitting and relaxing space with a large flat screen tv and plenty of throw pillows and blankets and conversation. Voice activated speakers are in this room.
The hallway will lead to the French doors that open to the enclosed lanai featuring a salt water pool, with hot tub, grill and seating. Voice activated speaker for outside use.
The kitchen has everything you need. Oven, microwave, induction stovetop, coffee maker, hot water kettle, double sink and dishwasher. Use as needed or vacation without the hassle of cooking. It’s up to you!!

Summary: We loved our stay at 1848 Lafayette in Ft Myers. The house was a cozy, comfortable spot within walking distance to the river and downtown nightlife. All kitchen amenities were made available, along with hot tub and pool. Also, the house had books to read and games to play. Highly recommend for a group of 4 or less.

Summary: My family and I (2 adults, 3 kids) booked this house to be close to the downtown river district of Fort Myers. The location is very convenient. If the weather is nice, the grocery store, the park, and dozens of restaurants are all about a 10 minute walk away. We really loved that aspect of our stay. The house itself is adorable and very comfortable. It’s both modern and cozy, and it is well appointed with pretty much anything you would need for your stay. The owner put a great deal of thought into designing the home, and it shows. This specific neighborhood is a little bit transitional, with some vacant homes and several stray cats that we noticed hanging out in the backyard (outside of the lanai area). Unfortunately we also noticed some fleas inside the house, which I believe were actually originating from the back pool area inside the lanai. This was pretty frustrating because my children ended up with flea bites all over their bodies, and I spent a lot of time vacuuming and doing laundry to make sure we wouldn’t bring any fleas back home in our luggage. It made our trip a little more stressful than I would have preferred. When I informed the owner, she responded quickly and directed us to use the provided flea spray in the laundry room. Anyway, once this issue gets sorted out, I think this house will be a great place to stay!
