Positive: Lovely quiet location, right by the sea. Nice to have use of a tennis court (and even better to have tennis rackets provided) and a pool. The apartment was fairly well equipped. Very clear instructions provided for our stay, as well as lots of leaflets and books about the local area.

Negative: The apartment was only surface clean when we arrived. I had to clean the fridge as soon as we got here as it was still grubby from the previous occupants and one of the toilets had faeces left in it. The apartment needs a deep clean. We also had to buy washing up liquid and hand soap for the bathrooms, which I wouldn't expect for an apartment costing almost £1500 for the week. No matter what we did, we could not get rid of the flies in the apartment. We were only informed once we arrived that there was no help with the pool and on one day some other residents tried to roll back the pool cover and it got stuck. We tried to ring the number provided and it was no longer working. After some quick research it emerged that the company meant to be looking after the pool had been taken over 18 months ago but none of the contact details either by the pool or in our apartment were updated. In the end, another resident fixed the pool cover and a phone call to Sykes Cottages and messages left on the Booking.com app went unresponded to. Given the issues, I think the cottage was overpriced for what it was.

Positive: Nice modern property with good comfortable furnishings and facilities. Well stocked utensils and a nice touch with the welcome pack. Property also had use of a shared heated swimming pool which was great. The owner was also quick to answer a call for advice and sorted things straight away. The property sits next to the coast path for excellent walks and great views

Negative: The only downside was the very narrow road ( had to fold wing mirrors) for the last 1/4 mile leading to the property which had high hedges rubbing on the car sides, ( SUV type) this worsened with the poor road surface. Difficult to reverse out if meeting car coming other way.

Summary: Excellent property in a remote location

Positive: What a lovely apartment! Exaclty as described; clean, well furnished, comfortable and superb location. Very straightforward booking and arrangements. The pool was fabulous and wonderfully warm. Easy car parking. Everything worked perfectly. Thank you so much.

Negative: It was perfect really, but I guess a view of the sea would have been nice. Though, we saw the sea all day, every day!

Summary: Fabulous apartment. Ideal for a couple. Has 2 double en-suite bedrooms, so 4 good friends could stay
