Summary: This stay was very fun. Our kids were a little confused at first but that first step into the houseboat their eyes lit up and played as if we were out at sea. This trip was to have an experience we never have before and it was well worth it. If we are ever back in town we would definitely book this trip again!

Summary: We are traveling from GA to TX and decided to stay one night at a half way point. We have never stayed on a houseboat so we thought why not? We were not disappointed, everything was exactly as mentioned. After reading the reviews we kept one small overnight bag to bring to not have to tote all our luggage down the ramp/steps. That worked perfect. We enjoyed ourselves and would recommend to anyone looking. P.S. I set my alarm to catch the sunrise and I’m so thankful I did. It was beautiful.

Summary: Enjoyed every minute. Only thing to mention, couldn't open the oven because of how close the refrigerator was and the bathroom on the lower deck (bedrooms) didn't have a toilet.

Summary: This was our first bad experience with VRBO. I know that some properties just aren't family friendly, and that's okay if the property owner is honest about it. My search criteria wouldn't have pulled this up if the listing was accurate. There are not 2 bedrooms, there's one with a bunk bed in a hallway. There are not 5 beds, there's three with a blowup mattress stowed away. The only bedroom has a broken door that locks people out from the outside. The one tiny TV stopped playing the DVD about 5 minutes in, so we had nothing to keep the kids busy and they just wanted to play with buttons all over the boathouse. I messaged the host explaining that we wouldn't be able to stay here and never received a response. We had to load our kids back in the car and drive another 5 hours to have a safe place to stay. This was very frustrating and disappointing. If the listing were accurate, we could have avoided the whole mess. I'm fully aware that some places just aren't for kids, and this is one of them.

Summary: This is a fun place to stay. The houseboat is very cute and has been decorated with care and love. This is a unique place and also has wildlife all around. We spotted a beaver, red headed wood peckers, baby turtles, and anole lizards. The property is easy to locate and Lacey is quick to answer questions. The boat does have a slight rocking feel occasionally but this did not bother anyone in our group. We come to West Monroe every year and this has been the best place we have stayed yet.
