Summary: Beautiful property and home! All the things needed to have family breakfast and dinner. Surplus of bathrooms and beds. Game room so great to entertain the kids and the adults - I’m terrible at pool and had to endure the ribbing. Karaoke machine was a hit with the kids and we could sit outside while they sang their hearts out. Beds were so comfortable and water pressure great for showers. Felt in the country but really not far from anything - 10mins to H-E-B (grocery store) and food places but we cooked when we weren’t at our wedding events. Wish we would of stayed an extra day just to enjoy the back patio for the day!

Summary: We rented this property to have my family together for my mother’s 90th birthday. It is a perfect place to have a family reunion. The back yard was great to gather while some members did the cooking while the younger people enjoyed the cabin with the pool table and board games. The Property is 20 minutes away from downtown so it was no problem staying over there.

Summary: My extended family had booked this lovely home and property shortly before Covid was a thing, and had to cancel as family couldn't fly in, etc. When my mother passed in Dec. of 2021, we decided we needed to get together and tried again. It could not have been a more perfect site. Everything was very clean, from beds to floors to kitchen. And the kitchen was one of the best stocked I have ever experienced in decades of VRBO stays. Donna was wonderful to work with. While we couldn't have a fire outside because of the drought/fire danger, everything else was great. Propane grill was large, and seeing turkeys and deer on the property was a lovely bonus. We hope to all come back. It couldn't have been a better place for us to laugh, sing some songs, cook great food and be together to have a memorial for our beloved Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Aunt.

Summary: Awesome Family vacation with our children and grandchildren. After a full day of going into San Antonio is was so nice to come back to a relaxing place. Enjoyed seeing the wildlife from the back deck every morning and evening. Loved the family devotion time that we had around the fire pit at night.

Summary: The Fireside Retreat is a wonderful place to unplug and relax. All of the amenities that you would enjoy at home without the hustle and bustle of life! Donna is amazing to work with and I would definitely rent this spot again! It accommodates so many with a great level of individual privacy! Great place to take nature walks right on the grounds. Not to mention the sweet deer that walked around in the early morning for breakfast. They run off once you open a door! It was a wonderful place to spend time with family and loved ones! Rustic, yet beautiful!

Summary: My wife and I (and our friends) came from Houston for a wedding in San Antonio. We were blown away by this ranch. At first, we were unsure of the trip into San Antonio but just like the information says, it was a quick and easy trip into San Antonio. Once we arrived though, it was hard to think about leaving to go into town. All the rooms are well-appointed and met all of our needs. The fire pit was so fun to sit around and visit well into the night. The ranch hand met us when we arrived and was available if we needed anything. Of course, we didn't need him because the owner thought of everything. We cannot wait to come back for an extended stay with a larger group to enjoy the area.
