Summary: Stayed for 4 nights with parking. Unit has a wide assortment of utensils, pans, and dishes along with some teas and spices. An Edeka grocery store is a 5 minute walk to purchase groceries. Downtown is about 30 minutes. We used this unit as a place to rest our heads. The owner explained things upon our arrival and checked in with us upon departure.

Summary: Our family of three spent a week at Ulricke and Ulrich’s apartment and had incredibly peaceful and restful stay. The apartment is very clean and has everything needed to feel right at home, such as private parking spot, well-equipped kitchen, strong Wi-Fi, comfortable beds and a nice balcony. Location is very convenient (safe and quiet residential area) and, although we had a rental car, the public transport is close by (a couple of bus stops and Hamburg Poppenbuttel S-bahn station). Several grocery stores (Edeka, Aldi, Penny, Rewe at Alstertal mall, etc.) and a lovely bakery (it was even open on Sunday!) is less than five-minute walk. The communication with the owners was excellent, and the hosts ensured that we were comfortable and felt at home. The owners kindly arranged three bicycles for us and we truly enjoyed half of the day riding along the Alster. In addition to Hamburg, we had day trips to Bremen, Lübeck and Schwerin. Our stay was absolutely amazing, and we would definitely recommend Ulricke and Ulrich’s apartment to any family that loves adventure, but also wishes to enjoy Germany’s fresh air and nature to the fullest. Summary: We loved the proximity to hiking along the River. Very clean and comfortable apartment. Markets and cafes are within walking distance.

Summary: This apartment is one of six in this pleasantly placed house in Poppenbeuttel. The kitchen is very well-equipped with such things as salt, oil, baking paper and plastic bags. The cooking equipment was brilliant and there was nothing else I would have wanted. The bedroom was comfortable and has good storage.Everything was well-maintained and Ulrich & Ulrike were very pleasant hosts, who do speak English. They lent us their bikes which meant that we could explore the area very easily. The park by the Alster river is very large with great paths for cycling or walking, and it's a lovely ride into Hamburg along the river. Very good transport network and bus stop is only a few minutes walk from the property. Do look at HVV Group tickets if there are two or more of you as you can save a lot on the cost of tickets that way. We didn't hire a car and the jorney to Hamburg Airport is very easy. The shopping centre described is amazing, very large and worth a visit. Edeka, Aldi & Penny Markt all within easy walking distance, some restaurants, cafes and bakeries (including the beautiful cafe Rheinhardt's) and a few shops. Would recommend this apartment.
