Located in the beautiful community of Pine Island, Serenity is a hidden gem! Loaded with extras for the whole family, including the four-legged ones, it's just steps away from Pine Island community amenities. Serenity is the perfect place to unwind and feels like home rather than a vacation rental. Recent updates include a beautiful kitchen with tiled floors, SS appliances, Silestone counters and pendant lighting. Bedrooms and bathrooms have all new bedding, paint, and accents. The great room features vaulted ceilings, a gas fireplace (Nov-March) and is surrounded by windows to let in the natural light and cross winds. Each room has been professionally decorated with coastal themed decor.
Step outside and enjoy the hot tub or sunbathe by the private pool surrounded by mature natural vegetation. Enjoy morning coffee on the screened porch or expanded top-level deck. The gated pool area features a Tiki bar, outdoor lighting for nighttime ambiance, gas grill and table/chairs for dining poolside.
Additional outdoor amenities include hot tub on the mid-level deck, basketball goal and nap-ready hammock on the front porch.
Take advantage of Pine Island's fitness center and indoor and outdoor tennis courts. In addition to the home’s private pool, one of two community pools can be accessed directly behind Serenity, along with a sand volleyball court, basketball court and brand new playground.
Ground Level: Enjoy a lovely, private first level suite with lots of natural light with windows in 5th Bedroom with a Queen bed plus a Queen Sleep Sofa, flat-screen TV/DVD and a full bathroom.
Mid Level: This level features 3 master bedrooms, all updated, spacious, and well appointed with private full baths, TVs and deck access. You will find a lovely Queen MBR, a MBR with 2 Twins, and a MBR with a DuoBunk & Full Bed. Rounding out the mid-level is the laundry area and hot tub that seats 8 comfortably (NO children allowed, please).
Top Level: Beautifully decorated living room in soft aqua and sand tones with vaulted ceilings, flat-screen TV, Blu-Ray player, stereo w/ CD player, gas fireplace and wet bar. Step up a half-level and enjoy the ship's watch, a perfect place for reading your favorite book. The gourmet kitchen is well appointed for all of your cooking needs. The dining table seats 10 with seating for 2 more at the kitchen island and additional seating at the café table for 3 in the ship's watch. Just off the kitchen is a screened porch and the deck has a table/chairs for 6.
King MBR is equipped with flat-screen TV, and large master bath with jetted Jacuzzi tub & separate shower plus private deck access. Rounding out this floor is a half bath off the living room.
*Linens and towels are ONLY provided in season, defined by when the pool is open (generally first week of May through first week of October). Linen rental companies are available locally for a fee. IN season, if you prefer to bring your own, we will apply a $150 credit to rental total.

Summary: We enjoyed a very nice family vacation to celebrate my 70th birthday. Kids and grandkids as well as old kids all had a very good time. The pool was especially nice after time at the beach. The ice maker was wonderful. Deborah was very easy to communicate with.

Summary: The house was clean and updated. Rooms were spacious and the kitchen was well stocked. Pool was great to have and the hot tub was also a hit. Walk to the beach wasn’t bad at all. Beach was great and not crowded. All around a great and comfortable stay.

Summary: Enjoyed our stay in Serenity. All the amenities you need for a positive beach experience even when the weather and airlines don’t cooperate. We brought the ‘boyz’ (2 labs) who really enjoyed the beach and the walks around Pine Islands trails.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay very much. We ate well, slept well (super comfy sheets) and simply relaxed, which was the goal. The ammentites were more than adequate. Housekeeping and Deborah were responsive to any requests and questions before, during and after our visit. Serenity was a pleasant experience start to finish and worth repeating.

Summary: Staying at Deborah's place was great! The place was perfect for myself and my friends to stay and had ample sleeping arrangements for everyone! I also reached out to Deborah in advance of staying as there was going to be more cars than would fit in the driveway. Deborah went out of her way to call the HOA to ask if we could stay in a vacant lot that was right across the street from the house and provided contact information for who manages the lot in case we had any questions. Would definitely stay here again!

Summary: We stayed at this house during our spring break in late April with our 3 kids and my parents. Had a wonderful visit and there was so much to do! We visited both the Bodie Island and Currituck lighthouses, took a wild horse tour, wandered around the shops in Duck and of course spent time on the beach. There is a Harris Teeter very close by (sometimes hard to come by in OBX) which was helpful when we needed a few things. The house is in a nice location - literally backs up to a sand volleyball court (which we used for a fun all-family game) and also the pool (wasn't open yet) and tennis courts (which we also used). There is a new wooden boardwalk that leads straight to the beach. You can just barely see the beach from the house so no view really, but access was very easy. The house was very nice, especially for a beach rental. My parents are picky, and they were pleased. A small quibble is that there was no hand soap, no dish towels, no tissue, no sponges. Make sure to bring these along with extra paper towels. There was extra toilet paper but we bought some of our own and left a few extra rolls behind when we left. Also consider bringing your own towels - the house towels were 100% polyester and not like other towels I've used. I had a small snafu and neglected to bring linens and Deborah was very helpful in having her housekeeper bring some over for us the next day without charging us, which was very generous. She also opened the pool early for us which was unexpected and an added bonus as our kids used it every day! Overall a great time of year to visit. We enjoyed being able to show my parents the Outer Banks.

Summary: This house was awesome! And even though it was the off season and we didn’t get much beach time we were never bored in this house. It had everything we needed from tons of comfortable beds to a hot tub to wrap around decks to lounge on! The house was also very clean and well maintained. My only complaint has nothing to do with the vacation rental, it’s just that I wish we could have taken off more time and stayed longer.
