This newly finished getaway offers a panoramic view and peaceful location. Enjoy comforts like a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, brand new plush mattresses, a large front porch, & WiFi. Visit Missouri S&T, spend a day at Fugitive Beach, or sample local libations in St. James. After, enjoy dinner on the patio or gather by the fire pit.
A shared 30' x 50' in ground pool is available seasonally.

Summary: This was by far the best experience we have had! All of us enjoyed the location, & didn’t wanna leave. It was very peaceful & cute watching the trains roll by or the horses in the nearby field! It was a magical experience! We even got to witness the “strawberry moon” on Tuesday, 6.10.25

Summary: This was a perfect place to host Thanksgiving with our family. The home was pretty and clean with a farm style feel (loved it!) and the scenery of farm living was right out the windows! Our only regret was that we didn’t get to stay longer.

Summary: Perfect mix of country, cow, lake with a train track for extra credit. Lovely site. Offered a bonfire but too tuckered out. Clean. New. Well designed.

Summary: Prairie Base/Workshop was perfect for our needs. The owners were very nice and helpful. Especially enjoyed the two cats Cheeto and Dorito! Definitely on my return list.

Summary: Owners’ description and photos are accurate. Very attractive home, very clean, very nice decor. Large modern bathrooms with floor-level step-in showers and handheld shower option (which every accommodation should have!). Wide open country views from the many windows.
