This former fisherman’s cottage has been painstakingly restored and designed to offer exceptional contemporary open plan living that makes the most of its delightful location. Within yards of the front gate you are on the sea front, a short stroll from the famous inn, famous for its freshly caught seafood, a popular licensed restaurant/takeaway, the local cafe and retro sweet shop. Stokeley farm shop and the South Hams brewery are within walking distance.

From here, the South West Coastal Path will lead you north or south to spectacular headlands and stunning beaches. Follow the coastal path and you will come to Beesands where you may be tempted to stop off for a drink at a another couple of popular inns, both serving local seafood straight from the fisherman’s catch. Torcross is just a stone’s throw from the sea and a short drive to the chic towns of Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Salcombe. By bus, take the no. 93 bus from outside the cottage, and explore the many other coastal villages, towns and beaches in either direction.

The living area is open plan, with solid Swedish oak flooring throughout and a fantastic wood burner for those chilly nights. There’s a large curved-screen TV with DVD player and the latest built in sound system, and local artwork adds a stylish touch of local charm. French doors open out to the back garden. The kitchen won’t fail to impress. Beneath granite worktops you’ll find integrated Neff appliances (including an undercounter wine fridge) all accompanied by a full complement of tools to please the most demanding chef. A separate utility room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer. The stylish concrete dining table and retro chairs are to the side of the kitchen, making it easy to chat whilst preparing and serving, ideally with a glass of something cold in your hand! Head upstairs via the imaginatively lit solid timber and glass staircase to the three bedrooms which are sumptuous, cosy and stylishly presented in an understated coastal theme. The master has an en-suite shower room and fabulous views out to the ley, the beach and sea beyond. The same views can be enjoyed from the double bedroom, whilst the twin bedroom looks out over the pretty back garden. After a long day at the beach, soak in the family bathroom’s free-standing bath or refresh under a powerful drench shower before wrapping up in sumptuous Turkish towels. Outside, there’s seating for six in the front garden overlooking the water; the perfect spot to soak up the morning sun over breakfast.
