Welcome to Maggie's Farm. It's a great time for hiking in the forest and mountain trails. Maggie's Farm adjoins the Pisgah National Forest with thousands of acres in our back yard. Rushing Tucker Creek runs along side of the cabin, great for rock hunting in the creek. Our cabin is very clean, immaculate. The beds are super comfy with memory foam for a good night sleep. Catch Rainbow Trout from our stocked pond or rushing creek.
We have excellent internet service and wifi for calling anywhere in the world once you set your smart phone to wifi calling. This way you can stay connected to your family and friends while you are on vacation. We also have Roku tv with hundreds of channels.
If you are looking for a comfortable home away from home mountain getaway on a cold water creek, (over 1000 feet of cold water creek) come and enjoy the serenity of Maggie's Farm. Spend an evening star gazing by the fire pit while roasting marshmallows. Everything you want to see in Western North Carolina is close by. We are just 8 miles to the Blue Ridge Pkwy, 26 miles from Asheville and 12 miles to the quaint little college town of Brevard. Enjoy sitting on the huge wrap around deck viewing and listening to the soothing sound of a rushing cold water creek and BBQing on the gas grill. Try your hand at fishing for native brown trout in Tucker creek for a tasty NC mountain supper or fish in the stocked rainbow trout pond on site. We are pet friendly and allow for max 2 dogs with a pet fee, restrictions apply. Please contact us.
This location is also great for a small elopement wedding by the rushing creek.
The cabin is very comfortable with everything you need, the kitchen is well appointed and has a door to the deck and BBQ grill.
It has three bedrooms and 2 baths split plan with a huge open eat in country kitchen, living room, large master bedroom and bath with double sinks. Great for family fun. Enjoy playing in the creek out back and BBQ'ing on the huge Creekside deck. Search for semi precious stones in the creek and it has been said there is gold coming down the mountains in the creeks. The cabin sits on its own private acre of land on Tucker Creek. This is our second and our newest cabin at Maggie's Farm. We now can accommodate parties of 10 with 2 cabins, both have frontage on Tucker Creek, see our other cabin at #7071666 to combine 2 cabin rentals.
During the harvest season, you can pick blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries, apples and pears on the property. You can eat an entire meal from Maggie's Farm during harvest.
There is a master bedroom with a queen size bed and full bath with double sinks, shower and garden tub. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and hall bath. The Blue Ridge Parkway is just 8 miles away where wild blueberries are growing in abundance. You can take the Parkway to Cherokee or Asheville and north to Blowing Rock. Transylvania County is known as "The Land of Waterfalls" there are over 250 waterfalls to hike and photograph. The Living Waters is just up the road with 5 beautiful waterfalls. The town of Brevard is known for its pure white squirrels. Much of Transylvania is National Forest. Great for hiking, biking, and fishing. There are 3 lakes nearby Wolf Lake, Tanasee Creek Lake and Bear Lake. Tubes, kayaks, canoes can be rented locally at nearby The Headwaters Outfitters. You can book a fly fishing excursion through them as well.

Summary: Maggie’s Farm couldn’t have been more perfect for our family. Our son fished with my husband a few times a day and loved it. Mark and Jackie gave us fantastic directions for beautiful local hikes. My husband and I loved having coffee my their babbling brooke. The cabin was extremely clean , comfortable, and perfectly stocked. They really did think of everything. We can’t wait to come back!

Summary: We loved staying at Maggie’s farm. Jackie and mark were wonderful hosts. The only disappointment was that while it’s called Maggie’s Farm- there really is no farm.

Summary: Maggies Farm is a VERY clean and lovely property that is nestled in the mountains. The rushing from the bubbling creek provided for early morning relaxation while coffee sipping on the deck and we enjoyed watching deer feed in the field directly across the street. My seven-year-old had a lot of fun playing in the creek and looking at the fish in the pond. The hosts were phenomenally hospitable and went above and beyond to provide our special needs son with the equipment he needed to make his stay better and more enjoyable. We would definitely visit Maggie‘s farm again.

Summary: Maggie's Farm is perfect for a remote mountain getaway to rest and relax. The cabin is wonderful, and the outdoor space was a huge playground for our grandkids. One highlight was the stocked pond where our grandkids caught several trout and bluegill. Besides fishing, our five year old granddaughter loved playing in the clear, cold creek, and our four year old grandson loved playing tee-ball in the large flat backyard. We also enjoyed roasting marshmallows in the fire pit and feeding the cows. The house was very comfortable and had a well-stocked kitchen. There was a large pantry for storing any food items that you bring. There was plenty of room for the five of us. The heating and air conditioning worked well, as did the wi-fi. The waterfalls in the area are beautiful. We drove to different ones each day, but the ones at Living Waters are exceptional without having to drive far. Mark and Jacquie are amazing hosts. They are like friends and want you to have the best stay possible. They made sure that every need and request was met. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to stay again sometime.

Summary: Had a great girls vacation with my friends and our dogs. This cabin was the perfect size for the three of us, and it was in a great location for taking day trips to see different waterfalls. Jackie was very nice and let us extend our stay one more day since our Smokey Mountain outing was rained out the day before we were to leave. We loved our time there.

Summary: We had a great stay at Maggie's Farm. Mark, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. My son picked the house because he wanted to catch trout, and it did not disappoint! He caught fish on the pond and on the stream that runs on the property, as well as on the Davidson River which is 30 min. away. You have cell service in the house while on wi-fi, but there is no cell service outside of the house, which was nice for a change. We had a great meal in Brevard one night and grilled at the house on the second night. Grill works great. The road to get there is very curvy, so the 12 miles to get there from Brevard takes 30 minutes, so you want to prepare before you go. It is remote, and a wonderful place to unplug. Beautiful setting, well-stocked house, and a great host!
