SPECIFICS:
THE MAIN LOG CABIN is the perfect place to relax and gather with your loved ones, with two bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a spacious kitchen, and a living/dining room.
Imagine your friends and families spending their evenings on the main cabin’s deck and enjoying the hand-crafted long table that seats 14 comfortably, padded willow couches and chairs for 8 in a sitting area, a foosball table, and a hand-crafted log pool table. Grilling up the day’s catch on the two propane BBQs, then enjoying your fill of s’mores over the crackling campfire on the river edge.
THE LOG BUNKHOUSE is perfect for the kids with its two bedrooms, each with a large loft, a bunkroom with four bunks, and its own bathroom.
Nearby are three beautifully unique TWO-STORY LOG GUEST CABINS, which, along with a trout pond, the main cabin, and the bunkhouse, circle a lush green lawn.
THE LARGE LAWN is bordered by a no-name stream that flows into the Swan River. The stream provides a fantastic swimming hole for kids to enjoy.
Our SWAN RIVER RETREAT is perfect for family reunions and retreats and can comfortably accommodate up to 30 guests to make memories to last a lifetime.
THE MAIN CABIN has one king, one queen bed, and a full pullout in the living room. THE BUNKHOUSE has four queen beds and eight twins in the bunks. THE THREE TWO-STORY GUEST CABINS have queen beds. One guest cabin has two, and two guest cabins have one each on the second floor and comfy couches, chairs, and coffee tables on the first floor.
There are microwaves and minifridges for bottled water in the three guest cabins, but no running water. The main cabin has running water and all the amenities you need to
cook and prepare delicious meals.

Summary: We seek secluded vacation spots without the 'resort' feel. With our three grown children, spouses and grandchildren, we give our heartfelt appreciation of the spaciousness of this property! Each family chose a cabin and everyone shared the 3 bathrooms in our main house. The bathroom for the bunk house wasn't a real advantage, as it was accessible only from the outside. My husband uses a rechargeable mobility scooter and Mr. Vold went out of his way to install a ramp for house access. Playing in the water by the main house was perfect entertainment for the kids, aged 3-16, as the river current itself was a bit farther out. Imaginations soared with everything from pirate ships to hideaways to skipping rocks to catching frogs. We were close to a public beach on Swan Lake for floating and kayaking opportunities. With the water sprinklers coming on every night, the worn patches in the lawn as well as the volleyball area were continually muddy, so taking extra shoes is helpful! The biggest concern for us was the presence of a couple of mice in the main house. Hard to manage, of course, with a group, as there is constantly someone going out or coming in, though we were all mindful of closing the door immediately. That problem will surely be addressed by the owner. Even though we love the outdoors, gramma gets queasy with mice in the bathroom! Overall, this was truly a memorable time for our family and we hope to return another year!

Summary: There were 19 of us from ages 2 to 74. The property was just as described but we didn’t realize the true beauty of the cabins and natural surroundings until we got there. We lacked for nothing in the way of kitchen and dining amenities and adequate beds and baths. The fact that the only full baths (3) were in the main cabin never presented a problem. Dinner was at the huge table on the deck followed by outdoor games, fishing and a huge log fire with plenty of seating. A day in Glacier National Park, on Flathead Lake and on paddle boards on Swan Lake, all in reasonable proximity, added to the fun had by all. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a heavenly experience in Montana.

Summary: What a wonderful location! Our family (8 adults, 5 children) takes a family vacation every summer. We all voted this as our best vacation ever! We loved being right on the river which was great for floating and fishing. The deer visited a couple times a day. The accommodations were perfect as was our host! We enjoyed being close to Bigfork and Glacier National Park. Our family definitely wants to return!
