JUST 3 MILES FROM TEXAS A&M CAMPUS! Perfect place to hang with your family and friends for graduations, game days, parents' weekends, new student conferences, etc.
The Howdy Half-Acre has quick access to Texas Avenue and Hwy 6, yet sits on a half acre with oak trees, bordered with a creek and a green belt for peace and quiet.
Living area features TWO full couches and a dining table that seats 8. And the back deck has 10 deck chairs to enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings watching and listening to all the birds; or later in the day to enjoy the shade and tranquility of the huge oak trees.
Kitchen has granite counter tops and is fully outfitted with coffee and 2 coffee pots (a lovely selection of K-cups or a full pot), George Foreman Grill, toaster, microwave, cookware, utensils, crock pot, blender, and a COMPLIMENTARY BOTTLE OF WINE from Messina Hof, the local winery.
BREAKFAST is also provided -- waffles and fruit in the freezer; and pancake mix, Kind bars, and oatmeal in the pantry.
NEW 4-burner propane grill with all the tools!
Bathrooms have granite counter tops, tile floors, luxurious towels.
The "Legacy Room" features a king-size Sleep Number Bed, 2 end tables and lamps, an upholstered chair, and a desk with chair. It features canvasses depicting the 4 generations of Aggies in our family. Sliding glass doors open onto the back deck.
The "You are My Sunshine Room" has a luxurious queen bed with butter yellow appointments.
The "Oak and Feather" room has two comfy twin beds. The photos hanging on the wall are just some of the numerous bird species we have seen while relaxing on the back deck.

Summary: Home away from home! The attention to detail and plentiful instructions were so helpful and appreciated. Our son is a fish in the Corp of Cadets, and we came down to watch him march and provide a home cooked dinner for him--and a place for him and a few buddies to have some time off the Quad. The huge living area was a great place for them to relax. I enjoyed hearing them laugh about their stories from the week. What a squared away group of young men. The new gas grill was perfect for grilling and the kitchen oven worked great for making cookies. It was very clean and cozy. My 8 month old grandson was fascinated with the birds in the morning in the back yard. Thank you so much. We really enjoyed our stay.

Summary: Wouldn’t hesitate to rent this property again. Felt like a home—extremely clean & well-stocked in the kitchen, bathroom. Lots of towels & sheets, etc. The house has big closets and plenty of floor space for air mattresses and plenty of seating. The backyard truly is the best for bird watching—our 3-7 year old grandchildren totally enjoyed spotting & hearing all the birds. The deck is huge & would be great for grilling. We also appreciate that all instructions were detailed and thorough. Location was perfect for us. Thanks for a great stay. And for the coffee!
