The house & cabin: Property is on McKay Bay in Lake Huron with local fishing available and freighters to view. It is located about 20 miles east of the Mackinaw Bridge. It has a large crib dock and normally deep water for tying up your boat. Sleeps 6. Newly remolded with new kitchen, dishwasher, electric stove, fridge, overhead fans; Bathroom with shower/tub; half bath near garage entrance; gas grill available; dining area; fully stocked kitchen and baking essentials; firewood and fire ring by the shore; if no wood may be purchased in town. Key code entry system; code will be sent nearer to check in.
The cabin: Property is on McKay Bay in Lake Huron with local fishing available and freighters to view. The address is 1825 Lakeside Rd. It is located about 20 miles east of the Mackinaw Bridge. It has a large crib dock and deep water for tying up your boat. Shore is rocky, but if you go beyond the rocks, lots of sand. The CABIN sleeps two. The cabin has basic kitchen and baking dishes; A queen sized bed with blankets and pillows. There is a small LP gas stove; small fridge; very small top freezer in fridge. There is normally firewood near the fire ring by the shore for your use; if no wood you may purchase some in town. Entry Key for the cabin located in Lock box. Fan and space heater in cabin for your use. Lots of cedar trees and fall apples.

Summary: Very nice stay. We had a very nice time. The big house is beautiful and very roomy. The cabin was comfy for two. The property and the view were wonderful right on the shore. Off the beaten path quite area. We had an eight point buck and his 3 little brothers in the front yard one day and a doe eating apples in the back yard another. Ducks along the shore most everyday. Host is great to work with although we really had no need to contact her as everything was as she said it would be. Check in was as simple as unlocking the door and enjoying our trip. Would recommend a stay.

Summary: We needed a home to stay in for my godsons wedding in Hessel and this home was perfect! It keep all 8 of us adults comfortably happy. Our Hostess had everything stocked that we needed. Many places do not carry garbage bag's, laundy soap and other necessities, ours did. The beds were comfortable and clean. The little cottage was lovely. Thank you for allowing us to be your guest's.

Summary: We rented both the house and the cabin and had a wonderful time. The sand and gravel plant across the bay provides entertainment, if not serenity. House was clean and well-provisioned with kitchen essentials. We had a good time and drove to the ferry to Mackinac from the house.
