Summary: Was a great spot within easy distance of Midhurst. Only complaint is the difficulty in turning right on Petersfield Rd but turned left and went down June Lane. The cost of the place was high but the value was there.

Summary: We had my son’s wedding in the area and chose the property to accommodate seven of us - three generations of family - Chartwell Mews was ideal for us as it was near to the wedding and there was enough space for all of us. The property was very well equipped, was spacious, and had everything we needed. It was clean, warm and cosy. Midhurst is within walking distance (about 15 to 20 minutes) and has a good selection of pubs and restaurants. The only negative aspect was the roads (Carron Lane and Oakhurst) to the property - if you have a larger car they can be a bit tricky to negotiate as they are quite narrow. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Summary: Lovely homely property we were a group of 7 across 3 generations. We have stopped at the property before and enjoyed it. There are however a few things that need sorting. During our stay the ensuite shower head was broken as it kept falling off, the downstairs toilet handle did not work so you had to pull the mechanism manually in the cistern. There were a number of bulbs out and 1 light fitting hanging from the ceiling on the landing. One of the hobs did not work as there was no gas to it and the hinges on the over door need replacing. Having said all that it is a lovely cosy property. it is clearly a family escape as there are lots of books and other ornaments which gives it a lovely touch. All it needs is a bit of time to sort some minor issues and it would be back to 5 star for me. We stay

Summary: Pleasant comfortable home for a short break. Wish we could have stayed longer. Lots to do in the area despite the covid restrictions. Walk across the nearby park to the wood and heath was great.

Summary: We've just spent a wonderful week in this property, we were 3 couples and 1 single. There wasn't a 2nd set of keys for us to use as indicated in the house details and I have to admit we struggled with the key safe, height, getting the keys to stay in the safe and to close it then, plus the prickly shrubbery next to it. One of the sofa chairs was a bit lumpy and lobsided ,( the one immediately in the lounge) . Lack of wardrobes in 2 of the bedrooms meant We had 5 people using the the main bedroom wardrobe. Also lack of any mirror close to a socket for doing hair in every room. The property was exceptionally clean, the bed linen gorgeous and the showers wonderful. Thank you. Gabrielle Kelly

Summary: We stayed at Chartwell Mews for 3 weeks and very much enjoyed it, we were sorry to leave. The house is in a lovely location, peaceful and convenient for the town. Set very close to the common, it was a perfect spot for country walks. The house was very well equipped and presented; very much a feeling of being at home! The owner couldn't have been more helpful.

Summary: We are four ladies who have been taking short breaks together for over twenty years. We found the house easily from the directions provided and the house had adequate parking for our two cars. From the outside you would never guess the house was so spacious on the inside. The key safe was not at eye level as stated in the instructions. Had a little trouble reaching it and being able to see the numbers. The house was very comfortable with good quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. Plenty of books, on all subjects, and games provided. Kitchen is well furnished although lacking in a few basic items, such as a tea pot, toast rack and scissors and more teaspoons would be welcome. The small rear garden is very pleasant with mature plants, trees and shrubs. Very pleasant neighbours. The house had been cleaned before we arrived, but a very dirty towel had been left on the coat hook behind one of the bedroom doors. We realise it is the time of year for spiders to come into homes, but would suggest a cob web brush is used by the cleaners as we found hanging webs especially in the bedrooms. The extractor fan in the family bathroom needs attention as it was not working properly. The single bedroom, although very comfortable, only contains a bed and a chair. Not even space for a bed side table. In our opinion only suitable for a child. Although the house sleeps seven would be a little crowded in the seating area of the lounge if seven Adults were in there at the same time. Although four of us using the 2 bathrooms in the mornings was not a problem, may be if seven Adults stayed. Would welcome a visitor's book. The property was good value for money and we would not hesitate to visit the property again if we were to stay in the Midhurst area. Midhurst is a very pretty Town with plenty of eating places, pubs and individual shops. Enjoyed a meal and cocktails at The Olive and Vine and also a live musical evening at the Tapas Bar, both in North Street. Lots of places in the area to visit. Would recommend the Angel Inn at Petworth for Lunch.
