This large, spacious and comfortable home with its roaring fire and reverse cycle air-cooling, has a fully equipped kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and open plan living, making it an ideal property for couples and families alike.
40 Acre Retreat offers the perfect location as either a central base for enjoying the wine and food tasting experiences of the Barossa or to relax and catch up with friends and family in privacy, surrounded by the grape vines, birds chirping, while watching the sheep meander in the paddocks.
Enjoy the peace and tranquility of country living amongst the vines and the gums while being conveniently located 5 minutes or less from the Barossa Valley’s top wine and food attractions; Tanunda, Seppeltsfield, Maggie Beers, Hentley Farm, Whistler Wines, Torbreck, Appellation’s Restaurant and only a short walk to Two Hands cellar door.
Please note we can not hold any type of functions ie. weddings, engagement parties etc at the 40 Acre Retreat, it is a guest house only.
The 40 Acre Retreat is holiday accommodation, we do not supply breakfast. The closest supermarket is 7 minutes drive, which is open 7am -8pm and there are many great eateries in the Barossa, ask us for more info of where to go.
This is also a working sheep farm, we love that you want to bring your dog on holiday and try to accommodate that, the yard is sheep proof not dog proof, if you feel your furry friend might be a little too interested in the sheep then our property might not work for you.

Summary: Awesome property in a great central location to plenty of the top tier vineyards.Very clean, tidy and maintained well.Check in was easy, the view in thr morning and afternoon of the vineyards is sublime.Would easily accomodate larger groups too.Will defonatrly return when visting the Barossa again.

Summary: Ideal for two couples, in a lovely setting. Very convenient for most activities in the Barossa, everything seemed to be be 10-15 minutes away. House is a bit dated but not a problem. Very cosy with the fire going. Renee and Luke were very helpful.

Summary: Like all other reviews, we can not fault anything. Prime location as my wife put it to. What a dream stay surrounded by all those beautifully wineries. The kids had great outdoor time. We didnt need to look for bike trails because get off the bacony there you go ride along the vineyard. Renee is very responsive with all enquiries before and during our stay. I dont think she ever take more than 5 minutes to answer all messages. We have already recommended this holiday property to all our frinds and family!Thank you !Jadon ride along the vinyard.
