Positive: The property is very comfortable and very clean. It's also located steps away from Tanunda's main (noisy) drag but still manages to be super quiet, and we slept beautifully. We only used the coffee machine/fridge/dishwasher but found that, should anyone want to cook, the kitchen was very well-equipped. We appreciated that the dishes, cutlery and all kitchen-related items were attractive -- not the mismatched, beat-up stuff so often found in rentals. The previous guests had left a clogged toilet but we were notified a few hours ahead that there would be a plumber onsite. Though this forced us to check in a bit later, it wasn't truly a problem and we appreciated that the manager (or owner) kept us informed of the progress. The hot water had also been turned off and we had to call in to find out how to reset that, but in the end, everything was resolved quickly when issues were pointed out. We found a small plate in the fridge on our arrival with a small cheese and crackers; in most wine areas in France or California, this would have been a half bottle of wine, but it was a nice thought.

Negative: Unlike the indoor spaces, the outdoor areas were not super comfortable or appealing. This is a two-bedroom rental and the description and booking info on Booking.com are for a whole-house rental. We should point out that we found a note in the 2nd bedroom stating that use of the 2nd bedroom would trigger additional charges (!). We've never experienced that before and thought that anything of the sort should be clarified in the original description/policy as that was not mentioned anywhere. We used that room to store our suitcase/clothing but travelers who travel with a friend, adult child, snoring partner etc should be warned, as they might be surprised by this charge.
