Summary: A stunning villa! Just as shown in the photos provided, within a quiet rural landscape & pleasant neighbours. Villa has everything you need to relax & enjoy your surroundings. It is a fair distance from tourist-type locations but having driven from Calais we were happy to spend our time having early morning swims in the beautiful pool & lounging around the outdoor dining & bbq area for many days, the kitchen has all you need as does both separate lounge areas that are only one door apart with easy viewing to be able to keep an eye on younger ones. They enjoyed the pool & xbox & Wii games. We played some of the great games the villa had. We were a party of 8 (age range from 13 - 73) and stayed for 10 nights & received all the info we needed from the host, Siobhan, who was always quick to respond to questions & a lovely lady. Plenty of supermarkets, all within 20 minute drive, stocking everything you'll need. Also several petrol stations nearby & all french staff helpful wherever you go - although best to have the Google translate/similar app as not all speak English as a lot in their older years - same for neighbours. We brought our own games & pool inflatables & had lots of fun creating games & activities. Lovely spending the evenings at the outdoor dining area playing cards, having a drink & enjoying the tranquility of the villa - we brought lavender candles & limoncella incense sticks just in case but weren't plagued thankfully. Bedrooms, beds, bathrooms all lovely. Plenty of space for lounging indoors & good amount of driveway space that would easily cater for 3 or 4 cars. Can't speak highly enough of the host. Would happily go again.

Summary: Very clean property and pool, lovely setting, very rural in a tiny little village. Gorgeous barn conversion - very sociable layout downstairs, lots of thought and care gone into this property. Sun on pool nearly all day (pool is same depth all way along). Nearby we went to Angouleme (old part of town - very picturesque), karting at Périgord Karting (best track my family had ever seen - proper driving experience), lake at St-Estephe for swimming, walking and plenty more. Good communication with owner. All excellent!

Summary: We had a great holiday at Le Grange. We hired both the main house and the gite for our daughter and her carer. Everywhere was very spacious. The disabled facilities were excellent and made life much easier. The house was beautifully presented and had everything we needed. The pool was lovely. We also went to the nearby accessible lake which was ideal for our children to be able to play together inclusively on the beach. A great property, ideal for a family member with complex needs and enough extra room for carers whilst allowing everyone their own space and privacy. So well thought out. We will return!

Summary: This place was just perfect for a chilled out relaxing break. The rooms were large and the decor and furnishings just right for the accommodation. We loved the open plan of the ground floor. Everything was spotless, including the pool. The patio area was great for meals and bbq. The local village was lovely and had a supermarket, local butcher, bakery and a tabac. We went to the nearby lake and had a walk around the lake and a swim, it was lovely. We also had a daytrip to Brantome, which was beautiful. Everything was very typically French. I'd definitely go again and would recommend.

Summary: This is a wonderful holiday destination on the border of the Dordogne. If you want to get away from it all, but stay in a beautiful huge barn conversion which has married the old with the new seemlessly then this is the place for you. The owners have thought of everything. It is like a home from home. Lovely neutral decor with thoughful splashes of colour thrown in. Breathtaking views from the bedroom terraces over fields and fields of sunflowers (we were there in August). Great for both kids and adults as there are 2 reception rooms with TV/DVD, one with table footie and lots of books and DVDs. Of course we spent most of our time in the pool or having long lazy lunches and dinners/BBQs with lots of lovely local wine and food. We also visited a fabulous Lake with beach at St estephe in the Dordogne and spent another day visiting Cognac. Bordeaux is also about an hour away, will go there next time! Best of all my kids made friends with the horse in the field next door and we have some amazing photos of them surrounded by sunflowers! Most definetly will return!!!
