You can catch the Jacobite Steam Train and cross the Glenfinnan viaduct as depicted in the Harry Potter movies, or take a ride in the Nevis Range Mountain Gondola up Aonach Mor and take in the views. Oban is known as the ’seafood capital of the UK’ and gateway to the isles, as from the bustling harbour you can catch a ferry to the Inner Hebrides, including Mull and Iona. The area is steeped in history with the famous village of Glencoe just 5 miles away and there are many historical sites, ruined castles and museums to visit. A passenger ferry from Port Appin will take you to the magical island of Lismore where time has stood still, or cross on the Corran Ferry and explore the Ardnamurchan Peninsula.
