5 Bedroom Villa in Barril de Cima, Ericiera

The villa is not over looked, very private gardens and safe for families and groups who wish to have a relaxing time away. Far reaching beautiful views of the valleys of Foz do Lizandro and also views of the beach in the distance.
Seascape Villa is equipped throughout to ensure you enjoy a wonderful stay:
Wi-Fi, Netflix connected TV as well a large Miele kitchen for those off you who love to cook whilst away with well equipped cupboards full of utensils, cookware. table wear, coffee machine and electric blender / juicer.
The layout of the villa is over three floors, upon entering the villa on the top floor you have three large rooms which consist of a king size bed, a super king bed and the third room which can either be two singles or a double bed / cot room. All of the bedrooms can fit a travel cot as well for families staying in the villa.
The super king room has its own ensuite, whilst the other two rooms have their own bathrooms next door to them one with a shower and the other with a bath. All the bedrooms on the top floor have built in wardrobes and views over Foz do Lizandro hills and the villa garden.
The two other rooms are then split over the two lower floors accessed through the kitchen and sitting room area. These two rooms are outside of the property, the double room is next to the kitchen with its own door from just outside the kitchen door and sun terrace area which over looks the large sun terrace and upper garden with the olive tree.
The 5th room is a large annex underneath the villa which is on the same level as the pool and lower garden level this is accessed via the steps in the garden to the pool (this is not suitable for anyone disabled). This room has a king size bed and its own large shower ensuite as well as mini kitchen. The room also has two small double sofas and large enough to accommodate two cot beds as well as a camp bed for slightly older children if required.
Our main living room has some of the most spectacular views over the valleys and is perfect for chilling and watching the world go by. For those that come out of season the sitting room has a large open fire which is so cosy on a winters night in front of the tv with a nice bottle of Portuguese wine.
St Juliao beach is within walking distance from the villa has some lovely cafes whilst Foz do Lizandro beach is a 5 minute drive which has a surf school as well as a mixture of bars / cafe's. On certain days one of the bar's has a fantastic sushi menu. Within 10 minutes you will be in Ericeira town which has some fantastic bars, shops and cafes. We have a guest pin board in the villa which has a list of contact numbers, cards and leaflets of our favourite places to go to.
The pool is 8 metres in length and has beautiful views. The pool can be offered as heated or not heated for a stay. *Please see pool details for further details.
The villa is our second home when we travel and our two young boys love coming to the Villa. We want all our guests to feel like they are home.
**The villa is also equipped with a travel cot, high chair, baby bath and for those little people a smaller toilet seat. Cot's and additional beds will need to be requested.**

Summary: This is a beautiful house with the most amazing living room with the utmost beautiful views over the river across the valley. The weather was not very nice but that wasn’t a problem: the heated pool is a must, also on grey days, and the fog that seems to surround the villa gives it an even more mysterious and romantic feeling. Last but not least, Eduardo was a great host, with a lot of friendly recommendations, some of them regarding the absolutely best restaurants on Ericeira. Overall, a beautiful place, reflecting the excellent taste of the owners, and a great stay. Highly recommended! Abel

Summary: We had a warm and friendly welcome from Edu. He showed us around the house and the shortcut to the beach. He was available for advice / recommendations throughout our stay. The walk to the local beach is amazing with great views along the way. The house is at the end of a road in a very quiet town. A car is a must to access shops and visiting local towns. The house is lovely and big. The main floor with the sitting area and kitchen is such a nice space to hang out with family and friends. The kitchen is very well kitted out; you won’t want for anything. The outside patio area is beautiful and well kitted out. There are loads of lounge chairs and a nice pool. There are 3 lovely bedrooms upstairs each with their own bathroom which is great when there are a few families staying in the house. We were a little disappointed with the main level bedroom as we didn’t realize it could only be accessed by outside the house and we had to go into the house for the bathroom and shower. The separate apartment was also accessed by a separate entrance. It has lots of space. It would be great if there were more windows or a sliding door as it can get very stuffy. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend.

Summary: We have just had two incredible weeks at this villa. There were eight of us in our party ages from 3 to 73 and this property was ideal for everyone of us. There were a few little things inside the villa that need a bit of tlc but nothing that had a negative impact on our stay. The villa is very well equipped, was clean on our arrival and was maintained dure in our stay. Both the villa and the pool were cleaned while we were there. The villa manager, Eduardo, met us on arrival. He was incredibly helpful on our first evening even helping us get a few essentials and left us some beautiful local wine to try. He stayed in contact dure in our stay recommending restaurants and places to visit which we wouldn’t have found ourselves. He even came to say goodbye when we left a genuine lovely guy. The local town is very pretty and has something for everyone. Good selection of restaurants but would definitely book as they can get quite busy. Also a hire car is an essential I feel for getting around the local area. Eduardo did put us in contact with a great taxi company which we used on several occasions. The local beaches are stunning, lots of surfers and families. Good amenities at the beaches too. The overall theme of our stay was total relaxation in a beautiful property and incredible location. We hope to return one day. Finally the villa owner Craig was so helpful right from the day of my booking and even emailed dure in our stay which meant a lot. Thank you for an amazing holiday memories which will last for a life time xxx

Summary: Had a lovely time at the villa, weather was great and the local beach was beautiful and perfect for our kids. Ericiera town was also very nice, has some great local restaurants amd bars to enjoy in the evening. Look forward to returning again next year !

Summary: Awesome Villa in beautiful location This was our second trip to Portugal and this time we decided to stay on the west coast as opposed to the Algarve, it was a great decision as we had a really great time in Ericeira and the surrounding areas. The Villa was perfect for my family, it has loads of space internal and external and the views are amazing, we particularly enjoyed eating dinner looking out over the valleys. The house was very nice and clean and was equipped with everything we needed to make for a very comfortable stay. The local beach St Juliao was fantastic and myself and kids enjoyed some great surfing lessons here, we can’t wait to get back in the green waves again soon. We will be back again next year . Summary: We looked at the review from the previous guests and were concerned by their comments and general poor review. We contacted Craig (the owner) who put our minds at rest regarding the quality of the villa and safety aspects. One part of the review mentions a crack in the large glass window in the lounge, Craig told us this was a small crack when in reality it is a very large crack. Eduardo the property manager assured us that this was safe and actually banged on the glass to confirm it, we accepted what he said but still remained concerned over our stay as we has our 2 year old granddaughter with us. The villa has been beautiful and is in an amazing spot but it needs some money spending on it to bring it back up to luxury status. The hand held part of most of the showers poured water everywhere and all of the shower cubicles leaked onto the floor every time they were used....not a major issue but it got a bit tiresome wiping the floors. The wifi signal was very strong early morning and very late evening but in the day it was down to 0.02 mbs. Please don't take this as a bad review it is still well worth visiting. The local town of Ericeira is lovely and the beaches in the surrounding area are all spotlessly clean and safe....the whole area is spectacularly beautiful.
