Blue Sky Lane Lodge is the perfect place to get away from it all. Located in a quiet, secluded area just a short drive from both Mt. Shasta and Weed, this custom-built cabin home has everything you need for the perfect mountain getaway. With over 2800 square feet of living space, including three bedrooms and three bathrooms, a fireplace to keep you warm in winter and air conditioning for summer, this home has it all. Outside, roam over 5 acres of beautiful grounds surrounded by towering trees.
The Interior-
Head-turning wooden interiors, vaulted ceilings, copper pendant fixtures, buttery cabinetry elegant finishing, and kitchen complete with granite counters ang farmhouse sink plus island pair beautifully in this lodge inspired home. Sunlight filters through an orchestra of Pella windows bringing the outdoors in with its large frames. Master suite has a Cal King bed and boast jetted tub and double vanity, while two additional full bathrooms means no sacrificed comfort. Expansive second story has two beds and two insets with queen mattress for bonus sleeping quarters.
Guest Access-
Guest have access to the Entire Cabin in the woods with plenty of parking.
The First Floor consists of: a Master Bedroom Suite with a King size bed, Jetted Tub and Private Bathroom. A second bedroom with deluxe queen bed and shared 2nd bathroom. And a beautiful large Kitchen and Living Room in a large cathedral ceiling open floor plan room.
The Mezzanine consists of: Large space with 2 Queen Size Beds, 2 Cubbies with a Queen Size Mathers inside (for a total of 2 more beds) and a 3rd Large Full Bath.
The Cabin is surrounded by tall pine trees situated in a 5 acre property.
The Neighborhood-
This is the Quintessential Mountain Community. Everyone is friendly and peaceful. if you have been thinking about leaving the city and being closer to nature, you've come to the right place. Both the City of Mount Shasta and the City of Weed have great downtowns with Restaurants and Shops.
The Mountain is believed to be an energy vortex which draws a lot of people who are looking to connect with nature, meditate and are just great spiritual beings. But there are many amazing Lakes, Water Falls, and Nature Hikes nearby.
Specifically, the Cabin is located inside a Private Mountain Community called Hammond Ranch which consists of about only 300 properties. All a minimum of 5 Acres, so there isn't a house right next door. You'll feel like you have the woods all to yourself. It's peaceful, relaxing, and the air is incredibly fresh.
Getting Around-
The best way to get around is by car. Our property is at the end of a private dirt road. In winter, a 4x4 is preferred, followed by an AWD vehicle. But we go through great efforts to make sure the roads are accessible and plowed. As long as you have a Front Wheen Drive vehicle with snow chains you should be ok. (unless of course Mother Nature has just dumped a ton of snow and we haven't had a chance to plow and clear it yet)
The City of Mount Shasta is only 14 minutes away. The City of Weed is only 12 Minutes away. Siskiyou Lake is about 20 Minutes away. Mount Shasta Ski Resort is about 25 minutes away. There are too many destinations nearby to name them all, but may are very close by. Even the 5 Freeway is only 8 minutes away, but you wouldn't know it once you get here. You'll feel as if you are hours away from everything. It is truly a magical place.

Summary: The house is lovely and the upstairs in perfect for children. Just know that 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive is probably better suited for the winter months given that it is rather secluded and down a private road.

Summary: This home was great for our family of 4. We mostly stayed in the beautiful property and let the kids play in the snow. Getting take out from nearby restaurants was pretty easy. The home was well-kept and the fireplace was lovely. The only downside was that we didn’t know there would be an extra charge to use the beds in the mezzanine, so we didn’t end up using that while area with the kids when we had planned to do so when booking. It would have been nice to be able to use that space freely. Otherwise we loved our stay!

Summary: The home is well appointed, clean, well decorated and the owners went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met. Our three kids LOVED the loft area. I didn’t really understand how large the upstairs area was until we arrived. It’s such a fun layout. I wish we would have stayed another 2-3 days! It is indeed a winter wonderland. We spent 2 days at Mt. Shasta skiing. It was such a nice and cozy experience to come home to. Thank you for making us all, including our dogs, feel so welcome. You guys have hospitality dialed in!

Summary: This house was perfect! We had not gotten together in years. Short drive to ski park, kids and adults had a ball! The set up was wonderful, sleeping arrangements worked beautifully. The open concept of kitchen,dining and living were perfect. Thank you, will be back again!

Summary: We had family fun at this property and was able to get away. The property is on a private drive and it was nice and quiet; about 15 minutes from town. The property was clean and had comfy beds. No tv in the living room area but tv in the bedrooms which helped us disconnect and just relax. There was snow during our stay and we were able to make snowmen and sled around the property (mini slopes) but sledding about 30 mins. away Bunny Flats or Snowman Hill.

Summary: 5 seniors on our road trip had a wonderful stay at this property. After a long driving day and hiking day in Mt Shasta, this was a perfect place to relax in the evening. Well equipped kitchen helped us to prepare delicious meals! We would highly recommend staying here for a quiet respite and to commune with nature, family and friends.

Summary: This property was nice and private. Some nice surprises included a larger-than-expected sleeping loft, a common area whose pictures don't do it justice, a hammock area below the property, and a really nice wraparound deck. Some opportunities are to make the outdoors more enjoyable by adding additional seating beyond the 2 chairs and an eating table + grill, window coverings in the loft, and updating the primary bath shower which is dark and dated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.
