Custom home situated in a boulder field overlooking the Apache golf course, offering stunning sunsets & city light views. Amenities include home gym, game room with pool table, garage space, and access to nearby resort & fitness amenities.
*** No, you aren't expected to do any chores like stripping beds, taking out trash, laundry. I'm committed to supporting your relaxing trip!
Heated hot tub is secluded among boulders, but offers views of sunset and city lights.
Interior spaces and patios offer panoramic views of the Valley, stunning 300 degree sunset, mountain & city light views!
Sleeps 6 in 3 large ensuite bedrooms in main house, plus queen blow up mattresses if needed that would fit in the 420sf gym. 2 story guest house available separately that has 2 queen beds. From the kitchen in this open floorplan, the Chef can see all common areas of the home, Pinnacle Peak, the major mountain ranges of the Valley, and even Cardinal's Stadium across town. Great room has 2 separate sitting areas, pool table area, and a 9' boulder that dramatically protrudes thru the wall. All bedrooms are ensuite and spacious.
Kitchen fully stocked with rice cooker, crockpot, plates, glasses, & cookware… along with spices, coffee, tea, cooking oil, etc. Large grill out on patio.
Gym offers elliptical, spin bike, free weights... and stunning mountain views!
A Welcome Book will be emailed to you, along with a hard copy at the home. Provides details about the home such as WiFi access, where to find supplies, and how to operate electronics & equipment. I can meet to provide a home tour if you'd like.
Cleaning is taken very seriously. All bedding is cleaned between guests... nobody wants a comforter that was just used by other folks!
Double gated community with a full security staff provides peace and confidence during your stay.
Ring doorbell in use. Only captures exterior activity of folks entering & exiting the home. Does not capture sound.
Cancellations - I'm more lenient than the VRBO policy. If you need to cancel short notice and would lose a deposit, it will be credited back to you if the days can be re-booked.
The Security Gate will check ID and only waive through those individuals on the list. Although check-in is 3pm and check-out is 11am, if timing of cleaning crew allows for it, I'm relaxed about those times... just inquire if you could use more flexibility.
Located on the far north end of Scottsdale, the community is adjacent to Carefree / Cave Creek with endless shopping, fine & casual dining, biker bars, art galleries... something for everyone. Convenient to the fantastic golf & hiking Scottsdale's famous for, and just a few miles from Bartlett Lake. I've lived in the Valley over 35 years with real estate license for 22 years... happy to pass along ideas for your trip or house hunting!
From the 101 freeway, take Pima North to Cave Creek Road, East 1 mile to Desert Mountain community entrance on North side of the street to the security gate; a secondary gate is available 3 miles further East, but closes at 6pm and all day Sunday. Statement required by HOA: homes in Desert Mountain are available to rent on a short term basis (less than 30 days) to eligible renters and their family & friends.

Summary: We had such an amazing stay here. Perfect floorplan for traveling with our grown children with spaces for everyone to come together and to find some solitude. This house is a bit of a drive, but these views and sunsets can’t be had in town…and, DoorDash knows the way. I didn’t use the hot tub, but the kids did and enjoyed their evenings out there. The kitchen had enough dishes and utensils to make and serve our meals and the gas grill was clean and easy to operate. The property is not fully fenced, but was easily adaptable to contain our 85 pound dog, though a smaller dog would require additional planning. The notes left to help ensure we made the most out of the property were well thought out. And while we didn’t need the host during our stay, I believe he’d have been readily available if we had. Overall, glad we splurged on a few nights.

Summary: We recently had the pleasure of staying at a VRBO house during the Phoenix Open Golf Tournament, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience! The house itself was incredibly spacious, providing more than enough room for everyone in our group to relax and unwind. The cleanliness of the property was impeccable, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The views from the house/hot tub were breathtaking, offering a secluded and serene environment that allowed us to fully recharge on our trip. What truly made the experience exceptional, however, was Lukas. He was incredibly communicative, making sure all our needs were met and that we had a seamless and enjoyable stay. His attention to detail and genuine care for his guests truly set this VRBO house apart from others I have stayed at in the past. Overall, I highly recommend this VRBO house to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay. The combination of a beautiful property, great amenities, and a wonderful host make this a truly unforgettable experience.

Summary: We wanted a few days of peace and quiet with gorgeous views and nothing we needed to worry about. This was a perfect spot for us. We spent almost all of our time on the patio enjoying the views and the interesting scenery, birds and wildlife. We did the same thing in the evening from the hot tub with the addition of views of the night sky and city lights. It is 15 or 20 minutes to the nearest area with restaurants, grocery stores, etc., but that was fine with us since it was the calm time alone with the beautiful views that we were looking for. We thought the boulders in the house and on the patio were fabulous. And the host is easy to work with and communicates very well before and during the stay. We may very well visit again!
