Positive: It's a beautiful house in a quiet residential area. Nice flowering gardens. Everything is extremely clean and Ana is a sweet host. Very welcoming and warm. However, from the property description we didn't realize we would rent a bedroom in someone's house. The bathroom was in the hall, so not private if there are other guests. There were no other guests. The entrance is also not private. It's the front door. This is all fine, it's a beautiful place but very expensive for just a bedroom in someone's house, without breakfast, coffee or privacy.

Positive: Ana was a very welcoming host and we enjoyed our conversations in French with her. The bedroom was large and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was also large. We had a balcony too. Ana also recommended an excellent fish restaurant which we went back to three times. A car is necessary for exploring the region.
Summary: Lovely stay in a good location for exploring the Arrabida national park .

Positive: My wife and I stayed 4 wonderful & unforgettable days at A Casa Do Lagar. A house is not necessarily a home unless hospitality and love lives under that roof. The moment Ana opent the front door at our arrival, it was clear those two virtues ruled in her home. The furnishing breathes a life story of the woman who decorated it with taste, finesse and love for art from a lot of places on this globe. Ana made our stay special in compare to all other accommodations we were before around the world, because she welcomed us in her heart and home. We enjoyed our also very tasteful furnished bedroom with a lovely balcony on which the early morning sun beamed her warm light in my face while enjoying a fragrant espresso. The spacious bathroom offered all needed luxury to pamper the body. Summarizing: A unforgettable & unique stay!

Negative: The location is not the best as it's a bit far from the beach, if that's what you are looking for.

Positive: We loved every little detail and the lovely flowers on the outside stoep (patio) but most off all the kind hearted lady this was our best stay in Europe so far and we are touring all over Europe now for 5 weeks. Thanx you Anamaria 🙏

Positive: Ana was wonderful, she said that she no longer served breakfast because it was too much for her (in her 70’s). She did however provide fresh brewed coffee tea, 2 excellent types of locally made bread and homemade orange marmalade from her orange trees.
Negative: Sharing a bathroom with another guest. A tub in the bathroom with no plug, so it was nearly impossible to take a real bath.
Summary: The host was wonderful and offered us a beer when we arrived at nearly 10pm, then sat up for an hour
