Summary: We loved Raymond Island and my 2 boys were thrilled to see kangaroos, echidna and koalas up close every day. The cottage had everything we needed and we will definitely return. Many thanks for having us.

Summary: This was a great location for the kids to be able to go for bike rides without the worry of too many cars. The dogs had a great back yard to hang out in, that was secure for small dogs. Or a good spot for the kids to play while dinner is cooking on the BBQ. Just need to remember to pack some kitchen basics as only tea, coffee, butter & small milk were supplied which was great on arrival.

Summary: We had a lovely long weekend at Raymond Island, the weather was quite cold and windy, but with the wood fire going the cottage was nice and cosy and we still found lots of things to do.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: FYI: there is no Vodafone coverage in Raymond Island, not the owners fault but without Wifi makes its an issue. There were dead Ants all over the couch on arrival. They WERE dead, but a clean up would be nice.Might both be an issue with lack of use due to Covid but The backyard was unuseable for us due to Mozzies, my GF was mauled in minutes and drove us inside the rest of the weekend, and We couldnt let the dog outside for long periods due to the Koala Poo all over the lawn as she, like many dogs, rolled in it at first chance.The above might have been passable but the real kicker was waking on Saturday morning to no power on the whole Island, Planned Power Outage apparently... noone bothered to tell us... everyone else in town knew. So a nice chill day in turned into a stressfull day finding food (all restaurants packed as everyone else knew). All our food had thawed/melted in the fridge freezer and we had to go shopping for more... really disappointing and left a sour taste. Could have rearranged our days with a 5 second heads up about it but nope... They did come straight away with a new battery for the Smoke detector when it went into alarm.

Summary: Cedar Cottage is close to the ferry and a short walk to the seashore. The kitchen is well equipped and we very much appreciated the bread loaf, jam, butter and milk left for us. A peaceful and relaxing spot with the added bonus of being within walking distance of the koala trail.

We regret that the outdoors area was really not well maintained and inside the house, the floors and the armchairs were not clean, making us feel not really confortable .. A bit of attention to details would make it fantastic.

Summary: This property is very basic but perfectly adequate. Really nice to have the fur babies with us. Lovely back garden that is well fenced and safe. Close proximity to the water. Comfy queen bed. Gippsland Escapes are always wonderful to deal with.
