This traditional 6 bedroom Girondine-style house is situated in a small village overlooking a 13th Century Church. Nestled within the rolling vineyards of the Bordeaux region, it is a wine lovers’ paradise: a short (10-15 min) drive from the stunning Medieval town of St Emilion and surrounded by a tempting array of satellite appellations.
Perfect for families with children big and small, the property offers a 12 x 5m heated swimming pool, an expansive garden with private fields beyond, a large trampoline, badminton equipment, table tennis and a substantial wooden play structure complete with swings, slide and tower. Indoors, the house boasts a roomy play area with table football and a variety of toys and games to suit all ages. Note – there is a small river running through the bottom of the garden.
The house covers close to 400m2 of living space, including 6 spacious bedrooms (2 with en suite bathrooms), a reception room, study, dining room, open-plan kitchen/informal dining area (overlooking the children’s play area), third bathroom with shower, laundry room and downstairs WC. On one side, the kitchen leads onto a veranda with table and chairs set within a lovely courtyard. On another, a separate set of double glass doors takes you to a paved terrace looking out onto the garden and complete with outdoor seating – ideal for an early evening aperitif.

Bordeaux is less than an hour away as is Bergerac.

Summary: We had 10 days at this beautiful house, the rest of our family joined us for a week. With two families and 3 children the selection of bedrooms gave us the perfect space. The master bedroom suite is stunning and a spacious dressing room off one of the double rooms was the perfect space for a cot, all the beds are really comfortable. My only observation is that the bath is in need of a new plug and shower unit, there are some super noisy floor boards by the master bedroom… it is an old house! Neither of those minor issues remotely impacted our wonderful time at this beautiful house. Even though the weather was unsettled we spent hours down in the fantastic pool area, a beautiful warm pool in a gated safe space away from the house. The children also loved the huge selection of toys and games, also so much for the garden. Isabelle was the perfect host and Caroline could not have been more kind and helpful in making sure we had a perfect stay. A great place which we hope to re visit.

Summary: This mansion offers everything anyone could wish for. Spacious, large bedrooms, comfortable bathrooms and outdoors like a park. Lovely swimming pool with sun beds and a lunching area (at least, that’s how we used it. Every one of our group (including the kids) had a wonderful week, no exceptions. Contact with the owner was swift and pleasant, and the property manager Caroline is a gem. We hope to be back some other time, but meanwhile we recommend this property to anyone who wants to have an excellent French experience. Many thanks.

Summary: The place was amazing, we went with 2 other families 6 adults 6 kids under 5. Loads of games, toys, trampoline and climbing frame to keep the kids entertained. Lovely spaces for adults and the pool was brilliant. Looking to book again next year. Thank you for a great week.

Summary: Isabelle’s house provides the perfect place for families and groups. We consistent of six parents and six kids of ages 1-5 years old. The bedrooms provided the perfect split and were also very comfortable with a bunk bed which was every kids choice. Downstairs has plenty of space for all to enjoy and breakout to do their own thing or sit together for a meal. The provision of toys and games for all ages was great to keep our kids entertained plus the table football, climbing frame and trampoline all helped to keep the kids busy. The pool area is sizeable and secure with comfy loungers and shaded area with table. Around the house there’s different spots to enjoy lunch or have an evening drink. The kitchen is fully setup and provides all you’d need to prepare meals for large groups, this is so often not the case when you stay at a holiday rental. All in all our weeks stay was perfect and the house and provisions did everything we needed and wanted. The house is easy to find and well located for day trips. Isabelle and Caroline are quick communicators and offer really helpful advice at all times. Thanks again for letting us stay and hopefully we’ll be back again soon

Summary: We came to stay for a wedding nearby and we’re a group of 6 adults and our 18 month old twins. It was absolutely perfect for us! There’s so much for littles ones, loads of toys inside and a trampoline, swing set, huge garden and of course the pool outside! All very safe as well. Isabelle was excellent at answering all our questions and arranged for travel cots and high chairs for our little ones. She also helped us find local amenities etc, and provided a fantastic info pack with lots to do in the local area. We visited a lovely local lake with a beach, St Emilion and a local vineyard/restaurant all around 15 mins drive away. The bakery she recommended 5 minutes down the road was also delightful! Can’t recommend this enough if you’re looking for a beautiful chateau in the countryside.

Summary: We visited as 3 families of 4 with 6 children age 7 and under between us. The pictures don’t do the house or grounds justice. It was absolutely wonderful with everything we could have needed for adults and children. Plenty of space, inside and out and the pool that kept everyone happy for hours every day. We would highly recommend to others.

Summary: Thank you so much Isabelle for letting us stay in your gorgeous house in Bordeaux. The house is huge, and beautifully finished. It feels both luxurious and like a comfortable family home. Caroline made us feel very welcome and we really appreciated the grocery shop on arrival with several hungry children in tow. The pool was such a hit, especially when the weather got really hot. The area is stunning too. We will be back!
