This well appointed efficiency apartment, off the property's main house, gives you a sense of living in a tree house on the banks of the coveted St. Croix river. Wake up to gorgeous sunrises from a comfortable queen bed. A nearby full size futon couch can accommodate two more guests. This apartment offers a great place to relax after a day of exploring quaint river towns such as Bayport, Stillwater, and Afton on the Minnesota side or Hudson and Prescott on the Wisconsin side. Or, simply enjoy the natural surroundings of our many area parks and trails. Situated above the Lakeland public beach, renters can make the easy hike down the path, below the apartment, to enjoy the river. Two kayaks are available for your use. A large shared deck invites you to relax outside. Eagle sightings are common at all times of the years and in the spring you’ll love the chorus from the many tree frogs that inhabit the area. Use the gas grill for a riverside BBQ or relax around the fire pit! This property is on the second floor and access is via an outside set of stairs. This apartment has a bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. Towels are included. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, microwave/convection oven, counter top 2 burner induction stove, refrigerator, coffee maker and necessary dishes and utensils to make a scrumptious meal. Conveniently located just 15 minutes from downtown St. Paul and 25 minutes to the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The Bungalow supper club is less than a block away and offers great food at a reasonable price. With the Friday fish fry and Karoke, Saturday afternoon Bingo and Prime Rib Dinner, and a great Sunday brunch buffet, you'll never need to drive or cook once you arrive should that be your choosing. Come relax and enjoy the best of MN river living!

Summary: Great place to stay for the price. Close access to I94 into the cities or easy cross over to Hudson, WI. Because of the closeness to I94 there is a constant highway sound if you’re sitting outside on the deck but not noticeable inside. Studio apartment layout worked well for us. I would suggest a light dimmer switch as most of the lights are all on one switch.

Summary: First - This was a great location near Stillwater and Hudson- quiet and convenient. The place is cozy but efficient . The host is an excellent communicator and is very responsive to messages. Which was helpful since we had a problem with an oder in the room. The bed is comfortable, but could use some new sheets since there was some pilling. The set - up inside is great for a couple. I'm a shorter person , so the shower was a bit of a challenge reaching the shower hand held and shower head. Not much counter space in bathroom , but if you have a hanging toiletry bag it works just fine with the extra hooks in room. There is a path to the river, but if you have mobility issues maybe skip it- bit steep and some parts not in shape. There are kayaks available which is really nice. The shades inside were a bit hard to use .There are 2 doors and two huge beautiful windows. Make sure the extra door without key pad is locked. Also the extra door has large window (in front of bed )had no shade. Kitchen well stocked. Kitchen has dish soap and two small hotel soaps in bathroom. Ample towels in bathroom. We loved sitting out on the deck , comfortable patio furniture and nice view.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at A Room With A View in Lakeland, MN. Great views of the St. Croix River & easy to get to Stillwater, MN, where we enjoyed biking, walking & dining out. Also enjoyed hiking at Willow River State Park.

Summary: What drew me to the property is the architecture and the location. It's designed efficiently and with a BIG view. The property owners are very open to answering questions and are generous about offering suggestions to made your stay enjoyable. During our stay we toured (drove) both the St Croix and Mississippi River Valleys. Hudson, Wi and Stillwater were both fun and close for shopping and dining. And the MPLS/St Paul metro area is also only a short distance. In addition we visited a couple of wineries in the area including the oldest winery in MN. I hope to create more opportunities for another getaway here soon.

Summary: Truly enjoyed our stay here. Small but well-appointed and served our needs perfectly. It does require a fair amount of steps to access. Great location - close to shopping and fun nearby things to explore. Gorgeous views. Owners need to invest in some decent bed pillows, but overall no other complaints.
