Positive: It felt like camping but with the luxury of our own space, and access to the main house whenever we needed. We loved the pond, the inside fireplace and outdoor campfire, as well as the birds and sounds of the hens/roosters. Mostly all the essentials we needed were there, and the owners are the most friendly.

Negative: A place to brush our teeth in the cabin would have been nice and an extra blanket! But there wasn't anything we didn't like!

Summary: Fantastic place! Will be booking again!

Negative: The cabin has a rustic charm, but it felt quite small, a bit claustrophobic, and in need of some upkeep. While I appreciate nature, guests should be aware of active wildlife like bats at night and frogs in the pond, as well as traffic noise from nearby roads. At night, you can hear small animals—likely squirrels or chipmunks—moving beneath the cabin, which might be unsettling for light sleepers. The listing also mentioned privacy, but I was startled in the morning by people walking right by my cabin which impacted the sense of seclusion and safety. That said, if you’re comfortable with a very raw, back-to-nature experience, no running water this spot might suit you—it just wasn’t the right fit for me and I checked out a night earlier.

Positive: Bill was a great and super friendly and funny which was my first impression. Trails were great, had a cozy vibe and the fireplace made the cabin very warm and snuggly. Bed was comfortable upstairs and it was very clean.
