The guesthouse is a nice, spacious upstairs apartment in newly built home on a quiet back country road surrounded by fields & forest. We are located in the heart of Amish country in Lancaster County away from the hustle and bustle, where you will hear the sound of horse and buggies. There is a one room school house a short walk up the road. You can watch the school children walking to school every morning while school is in session.
You will enter the front entrance into private foyer to upstairs. It is a private area on the second floor with two bedrooms, a queen bed in each. The sitting area includes 2 full sofas, one folds down to a bed. Also a dormer with a single sofa bed. The kitchen is made with old barn wood from the family farm. It includes an apartment sized fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, electric skillet, a table which seats 6 people.
A large flatscreen TV is in the sitting area. It is not connected to cable TV but is connected to the WIFI giving you access to many of the popular streaming sites. You will need to provide your own login credentials for subscription based streaming platforms.
The entrance has a keypad for easy come and go without needing a key.
This will be a wonderful home away from home to stay and relax and see the sights.
You may also enjoy the outdoor pavilion with picnic table and chairs to relax. A grill will be provided if you need one.

Summary: We were looking to just get away for a few days, and this place was perfect. We love the Lancaster area and the location was close enough to the places we like to go, but far enough to have peace and quiet. The apartment was nicely furnished and had everything we needed for our stay. My husband really enjoyed the home made cookies! It was a pleasure to meet and talk to Charlotte and her husband. We highly recommend.

Summary: This is one of the nicest properties that we have stayed at through VRBO. The upstairs apartment was so lovely and had everything that we needed for our weekend stay. The host met us when we arrived and she was kind enough to leave a plate of cookies for us, which was a very nice touch. I hope to come back for other visits to Lancaster and stay here again.

Summary: Upon our arrival, we were kindly greeted and welcomed by the property hosts. We were surprised with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies waiting for us on the kitchen counter of the rental apartment! This home is in the perfect location for a peaceful and relaxing stay in Amish country. The home is spacious, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. It is the perfect rental for a girls' trip or a family trip! The property hosts respected our privacy throughout our trip but made a point to approach us for a friendly goodbye upon our departure. We enjoyed getting to know the hosts and appreciated their kindness and hospitality. We would recommend this rental to anyone and hope to book it again the next time we plan a girls' family trip!!
