10% off weekly rate! The Madison Channels Riverfront Cabin, built in 2016, is just 35 miles from West Yellowstone, the western gate of Yellowstone Park, and 40 miles south of Ennis. The local lakes, Cliff & Wade, Henry's, Hebgen and Quake Lakes, are close for fishing, swimming and boating. A short hike down a hill (about 100 yards) to the world famous stretch of the Madison River known as the Channels and Slide allows exclusive "property owner" access to the western side of the river and for a "wilderness" experience. Hike up Sheep Creek trail for a stunning view of nature.
The cabin is on 20 acres with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It offers total privacy, exclusive Madison River access and unmatched mountain and valley views with lots of wildlife. There is plenty of room to relax under the covered porch watching antelope, eagles and big horned sheep. Great for gatherings of family and friends. Over 100% Sustainabilty. You will want to come back year after year!
All of the comforts of home are available to you. The living room has satellite TV, WiFi DSL internet, DVD player and queen sleeper sofa. The kitchen has Silestone counter tops and new appliances including dishwasher. The laundry room has a washer and dryer. The first floor of the cabin has two bedrooms, one master bedroom with a queen bed and adjoining 3/4 bath and one bedroom with a double bed. There's an outside staircase that leads to a private spacious studio or third bedroom which has a queen bed, queen sleeper sofa, kitchenette, 3 bath and walk-in closet.
Sportsman's Paradise neighborhood is about 50 homes located on 20 or more acres each, some over 100 acres. Several creeks run through it. The Continental divide is the South boundary and the Madison River is the North boundary. The East boundary is the National Forest and the Henry mountains. To the West is Highway 87. Sheep Creek road is a Forest service maintained road that is the main road and leads to the Sheep Creek trail head.
You will see antelope, Golden eagles, Rocky Mountain goats and more on or from the cabin most days. Seasonally, you will see Bighorn sheep, deer, wolves, bears, elk, moose, otters, badgers, foxes and other species. You can walk from the cabin to the trail head, along the river or to the brink of the Slide.

Summary: The property was perfect for us. We were all very comfortable and loved the location - other than the lane which was not well maintained. I was also disappointed that the grass was not mowed around the cabin. I would stay there again!!!

Summary: Two of the five of us were camping in Montana for the month and had family fly in halfway through the time that we rented the cabin. The logistics of an SUV full of camping gear and trying to get the rest of the family from the airport led to us reaching out to request dropping our gear early and the getting the rest of the family. Pam was gracious with allowing us to store our gear at the location. A small thing but meant the world to us. The cabin was perfect for our group, which included parents at the age of 87. Location was great for Yellowstone Park, Ennis and Virginia City. The kitchen was in perfect shape and had more than everything one would need to cook whatever you wanted. WiFi in the house was fiber optic which allowed remote work to be done as needed for one of our group. All in all the stay was wonderful and the hosts were great.

Summary: My brother and I have been coming to fish in Montana for 29 consecutive years, and in that time we have stayed at many great cabins, along many great rivers; however, this place has to rate in the top two. From the outside it appears somewhat small, but inside it is most spacious, with a large living area and fully operational kitchen, complete with everything one needs to prepare meals. The separate apartment on the second floor of the place was also very spacious and accommodating, as a couple of fly fishing buddies stayed there with us for a couple of days and it made for plenty of room and privacy for bathrooms and sleeping quarters for all. The check-in process was a breeze with a lockbox and detailed booklets on the area We really enjoyed the views, which gave a variety of settings from the close-up view of the mountains directly across from the river, and the panoramic views of mountains to the south and additional ranges as far a the Centennials to the west. We also spotted Mountain Goats, climbing up and down the cliffs, across the river on several occasions, which was of the most amazing things in nature I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot). Of course, all of this is accompanied by a blessed silence, only interrupted by the soft roar of the Madison River flowing just a couple hundred yards behind the cabin. We're really looking forward to returning to this sanctuary again next year. Thank you, Pam and Jeff, we really appreciate it! Tim Marysville, Ohio

Summary: Such an amazing place! We were surprised at how nice and well stocked this cabin was. The surrounding beauty of the cabin is unreal, like something from a magazine! Our teenage sons loved the little apartment upstairs and the two bedrooms in the main cabin were perfect for the rest of us. The beds were all comfortable, and everything was so clean! We hope to be back one day! Pam was so easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions we had.

Summary: We had a wonderful time at this cabin. The views can’t be beat. It was stocked with everything we needed. I did forget to screenshot WiFi, codes & specific directions. We did not have service so we had a little trouble getting to the cabin although we could see it lol. If you have AT&T make sure you have all that saved before hand. Thank you for a great first experience in Montana!
