Beautiful View Lodge sits on 5 acres looking over a serene pond. Spacious lawns surround this lodge, so you have plenty of room to play and enjoy the entire private property. It is a great location for snowmobiling and ice fishing. The Lodge has an open floor plan with a living area, dining area and kitchen area all together. There are 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a loft with a queen bed and 2 twin beds and a large couch. There are also 3 additional couches and a queen blow up mattress. 8-10 people can sleep comfortably. There are two big screen TVs. There is one bathroom with a walk in shower. We have an indoor sports court with all the amenities to play basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and bean bags. There is a beautiful pond and scenery to view. Enjoy time with your family and friends playing games, sitting by the firepit, watching the sunsets, and creating wonderful memories together.

Summary: Our family enjoyed a long weekend in late July. The property is beautiful and peaceful in rural Minnesota and close to numerous towns. The home is well furnished with provisions and the gym space was a hit with our multi-generational family of 7. A few items that would have been helpful to know in advance are: the gym space and loft are not air conditioned (although they remain reasonably comfortable) and the “bedrooms” are curtained off areas in the main living space. While we made it work, the lack of a “doored” bedroom is a bit of a challenge with a toddler. (Pictures do not show that there are no bedroom walls/doors.) The owner was great with communication. Overall, we had a very nice weekend stay.

Summary: My husband and I stayed at this property with our 5 children. We had a problem at the beginning of our stay, but it was resolved and our host was honest with us about the issue and followed through with getting it resolved. We enjoyed the area immensely and our host even sent us a couple of local places to consider visiting based on what our children might enjoy. We felt secure on the property and loved the open gym space! The host has thoughtfully provided many amenities in the kitchen that came in very handy as we prepared food throughout our week long stay. We would highly recommend anyone in the area to consider staying at this property!

Summary: Everything was exactly as advertised. Great views, relaxing and quiet property. The location was perfect with numerous small towns and parks under 10 minutes away. Communication with the owner was prompt and he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and that there were no issues. Everyone who stayed had a great time.

Summary: The gym was great and lots of time was spent there playing basketball and using the weight equipment. The basketball return was great too. There are just a few things that fell short. Property wasn’t shoveled when we arrived. It had snowed a day or two before our arrival so we had to walk through snow to access the building. Description states it accommodates 8 guests however there are only 6 chairs for the “dining” area and of those, three were office chairs. Two of the three office chairs were broken so essentially there were 4 chairs. We ate in shifts. There are also no curtains on the windows where the sun sets so we ate with the sun in our faces. There were other pieces of broken furniture throughout and the mirror in the bathroom wouldn’t stay closed. Out the window with the view of the pond was a futon full of rips and clearly not for the outdoors. Sleeping arrangements were as expected and comfortable for all. There was initially a hot tub advertised that when we rented the site I had advised our family and friends to bring swimsuits. It worked the first night and then quit. When the host was contacted he stated it wasn’t part of the rental. The pictures are no longer on the site. That was frustrating. There was no dry wood for a bonfire. All was left out in the the elements. There was an area with a curtain pulled in front of it with laundry and toiletries that looked like that were quickly stashed there. There were no lamps in “living room” area so it was either overhead lights or no lights. The only other thing we found inconvenient was that the large refrigerator was in the garage and the mini fridge was in the kitchen. Seemed it should have been the other way around.

Summary: Group of 6 guys out for a golfing weekend had a great time at Dean's place. When we weren't golfing nearby at Little Crow we were shooting hoops in the gym, relaxing in the living room, and enjoying great sunsets over the lake. 10/10 would stay again.

Summary: My husband and two teen daughters had a great stay at this VRBO. The attached gym kept my daughters busy all weekend with badminton and basketball and even some gymnastics on the mat. Gym had a good variety of sports equipment available to use. Another "plus" was that overlooking the gym was a loft area where the kids slept. Everything was clean and new; kitchen was equipped was with all utensils and appliances you might need. Large fridge in the gym area helped. Beds were comfortable and came with lots of pillows. Really enjoyed sitting in hot ub watching the sunsent over the pond. It was a very quiet area. We also had a nice time visiting downtown New London (10 minutes away): cute coffee shops and gift shops - Would definitely recommend this for families with kids!
