Located just a few minutes drive from Galway city, Barna, Moycullen, and Gleno Abbey our cottage ticks all the boxes for style, design, and comfort. Whether you are looking to get away for a weekend or needing a base to explore the surrounding countryside of Galway you will not be disappointed.
Completely remodelled at the end of 2019 the cottage offers modern two tone kitchen cabinetry with all the dishware and cookware necessary, comfortable furnishings, WiFi and smart TV, bathroom with walk in shower, washer dryer, towels and linens, and double bedroom with 4ft6x6ft bed. Step outside with your morning coffee and watch the sunrise over the glorious countryside.
Parking is beside the cottage with gated access. Please note that there is slightly steep covered walk way up to the cottage, 40 seconds walk.
The cottage is located at the rear of the owners property and has complete privacy. There is no interaction with the owners but they are there if you need something.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this cozy cottage within minutes to Galway. Very private and quiet gated residence with all the amenities needed. The location was very convenient for getting into Galway and dining at several fine restaurants. Also a great location as a starting point to visit Connemara Park, ferry to Aran Islands and driving to Clifden. Martin, the owner was very friendly and provided us with suggestions of activities to do within Ireland. Would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Nice, new house about 3 miles NW of Galway in a very quiet neighborhood. Interior is new, clean and comfortable, although a little cramped (we were able to place our luggage on the window sill, which helped). Kitchen and washer/drier all worked great. The host has the hot water heater on a timer, I guess for energy conservation reasons, which is great, but if you want hot water after the timer goes off, you can set it to constant for a little while, and turn it back to timed when done. It's up on a small rise, with a nice view south from outside. It's a little far for walking into town, but very convenient to drive to town and great launch point for visiting the Connemara region. Host was really nice and helpful.

Summary: House and host we're lovely. You will not be walking into Galway City from here but it is a very short drive (unless traffic prevails)

Summary: Had a fabulous time in and around Galaway and this was a great base. Out of town it is very quiet for a great nights sleep and easy access to Salthill and Galway 10mins. Hosts were lovely and all in all a great stay. Thank you.

Summary: This cute cottage sits behind an amazing house in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from the heart of Galway, great coffee, and local shopping. Well stocked, clean, and nicely decorated, it felt like home right away. Sitting outside at the table, you can see the ocean as well as rolling green fields. The owners communicated clearly and promptly. We had no issues other than figuring out the key at the front door as it was a different kind of lock than we were used to and timing how long of a shower to take as the hot water ran out quicker than we expected but this was not a problem and we quickly adjusted. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Summary: We had a very good holiday in Galway. The cottage was quite clean and comfortable. On our arrival we were welcome by the owner of the estate who was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed a lot visiting this part of Ireland, especially Connemara which is really beautiful ! The only remark I would like to make concerns the kitchenware which is very limited ... when you want to cook your own food ! On the whole we had a very pleasant week.
