Summary: We loved staying at the Affi house! It's in a great location - quiet village and drive-able to do many things (Lake Garda, Verona, Venice, etc.) Our children loved playing with the toys in the home as well as playing in the yard. We enjoyed the hikes up the mountain at the end of the street. I would definitely stay again. Maria and Paolo were so kind and helpful. They accommodated our early morning flight and met us for check in based on our schedule.

Summary: We spent a magical month at Via Pila 31! Maria and Paola were great hosts and helped us with everything. We and our friends who visited us had the best experience. Will definitely come back again!

Summary: This villa surpassed our every expectation. Firstly, walking up the quaint traditional italian street to the villa you are struck with some wondeful views of the cliffs of Affi. The villa is very spacious with high beamed ceilings in the living room, lovely wooden floors all around the house and an immaculately kept garden. All the rooms were very spacious, accomodating 9 adults easily with space to spare. On arrival, the villa was spotless and Maria, our amazing host, left some Italian welcome treats for us to enjoy! Also, while Affi is a quiet quaint little town full of character, the location is great for visiting some of the other busier towns dotted around lake Garda, being 10 minutes away from Bardolino and 25 minutes away from Verona by car. We could not have been happier with our stay - I will be recommending this villa 100% to anyone that will listen :). Thank you Maria for opening your home to us!

Summary: Maria and Paulo were excellent hosts and were very welcoming when we arrived. They were also very helpful when we asked their advice on several occasions - including telling us the best way to get to Venice and reserving tickets for us to see a concert in Bardolino. The house, although very old has been tastefully modernised and is very spacious. It provided everything our party of four needed for a week's holiday. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. On leaving, Maria asked for any suggestions, which might make the house better. The only thing we could suggest was the provision of more comfortable seating (sofas) in the main lounge - and a coffee table! If you want to explore the lake Garda area by car - we found Affi to be a good base. Bardolino was only a few minutes away and Verona was an easy drive. The modern part of Affi has a shopping mall with a convenient supermarket. Overall we had a lovely week - thank you again Maria and Paulo.

Summary: We (two families with children aged 6-9) had a really wonderful stay here. Maria was very hospitable and helpful. The house is beautiful and has everything you need. The children really enjoyed playing in the garden, especially the tree house, and in the small playground close by. The location is great for exploring the lake. We particularly enjoyed visiting Torri del Benaco, Bardolino, Limone (taking the car ferry just outside of Malcesine), Sirmione (busy but beautiful - go early to avoid parking trouble) and Riva. It's also near to lovely walks and cycling in the mountains (Monte Baldo - amazing views of the lake). A day-trip to Mantua and Verona are also really worth it. We can't recommend it highly enough.

Summary: We stayed as a family of 7 and had an amazing time. The house is wonderful so full of character and offered us so much space for us all. The village of Affi is so picturesque with some lovely, friendly restaurants. We traveled around the surrounding area and visited some lovely areas on the lake side for a lovely cooling swim. The most impressive being just out of Garda, parco baia delle sirene, so peaceful. We would recommend the house and area to anyone truly amazing time. Also very large supermarket near by for all those essentials.

Summary: A group of 9 of us stayed for a week at Maria's house and it was brilliant! Maria was helpful and professional in the lead up to our arrival, helping organise late-night taxi bookings from Verona and giving us recommendations of places to eat and visit in the area. This generosity continued throughout our stay and we visited some idillic beaches that we would not have found were it not for Maria's suggestions. The house itself was brilliant. Spacious and generally well-equipped (though some more chopping boards and better kitchen knives would have been great!) it has some basic local amenities (tobacconist, cafe, restaurant) in sleepy old Affi and is only a 2 minute drive from an enormous supermarket. 15 minutes drive gets you to the busier beaches of lake Garda and 35 minutes drive gets you to the more remote beaches and the Monte Baldo mountains. Surrounded by gorgeous vineyards, it was perfect for our group. All in all, a wonderful trip, made by Maria's lovely house and generosity. Would highly recommend.

Summary: Although this house dates from the 17:th Century it´s equipped with everyhing you can wish to make life easy and comfortable. Together with children and grandchildren ( 9 people) we spent a week here, and enjoyed every moment. The Children had lots of place to explore and toys to play with. All the rooms were nice and frech, bedrooms, playrooms,bathrooms, launryroom and the big sittingroom. Our host was very nice and helpful. Thank you Paolo! Anita

Summary: Although this house, dated from the 1700th Century has its ancient charm left, it´s well equiped with all the modern facilities you can ask for. It´s renovated with caution and style. The surroundings are as well breathaking beautiful as serene. We had a wonderful week all 9 of us . (parents, children and grandchildren aged from 75 to 3) The children loved the toys, the garden and all the space to run about in fancying passed times. We went, as well, to many charming places by the lake in the vicinity. We reached them all within a short while. We want to thank our host Paolo for his kindness, helpfulness and easyness, and we would love to come back soon.
