Positive: Ambiance: The location cannot be topped. Lots of attractions within a 30 minute drive, such as beaches, archaelogical sites, cute little towns, mountains for hikes, as well as wineries, cheese shops and olive groves. There is enough to keep you busy for at least a week, if not longer. This was one of a total of 3 places we stayed at in Sardinia over a 10 day trip, and it was by far the best. I wish I stayed longer than 3 nights! The views are even more incredible in person. Driving up to it felt unreal. The hotel is very well kept, and the surrounding garden is very romantic and picture perfect. There are lots of friendly cats and dogs around which made our stay that much better. Food: We had the buffet breakfast here once, and there was a variety of cereal, cooked breakfast (eggs) and savoury options of bread, cheese and sliced deli meat options. You also had a selection of tarts and desserts, so you will be spoiled for choice. The dinner menu was good, the price is 40 Eur per person. This included multiple courses- 2 starters, a pasta dish, which was then followed by a meat dish and salad. The price is comparable to other Agriturismos within the area. Everything tasted super fresh, and had a home-cooked touch. We also did a wine tasting, which came with a selection 3 of the house wines, and a small charcuterie board to share between two. Location tips: You will need a car to see all the attractions. I would highly recommend visiting Azienda Agricola F.lli Puddu to buy some wine or salsiccia, and walking aorund the vineyard. Azienda Agricola Badu e Chercu was great for lunch/ dinner, with a lot of animals and a very friendly dog. Oliena is also a short drive away from the Agriturismo, with lots of cafes for morning coffee- one of our favourites being Bar Blues.

Negative: The bathroom lighting was a bit dark, made shaving a bit difficult. The shower doors let out a lot of water, so we needed lots of towels to help dry the floor.

Summary: Rustic extravagance- you cannot go wrong with this place!

Positive: The hotel is located right underneath the mountains and has beautiful grounds. Our room was elegant and tastefully decorated. It has nice outdoor sitting area and hammock, lots of olive trees providing shades. So peaceful just spend time enjoying the surroundings and rural Sardinia. Dinner outdoor was in a nice garden and we enjoyed it.

Negative: Not hotel related but due to heat, trekking or kayak was a bit too hot for us. There was not much else to do nearby so we ended up going again to the beaches. Food at dinner was ok, we had higher expectation of it.

Positive: My stay at Guthiddai was nothing short of exceptional. We took a cooking class on the property shortly after check in. It was super easy to book & reasonably priced. We learned how to make 3 different types of pasta with a rockstar chef, Roberto! We had so much fun! Dinner that night was delicious and we were served some of our creations which was a visual treat! The property is well maintained and just a beautiful aesthetic overall. It’s a great location with the backdrop of the mountains. The staff were the best part, they made us feel right at home and were very accommodating. Highly recommend, a true gem of a stay!

Positive: A beautiful, lovely agriturismo. Located in picturesque part of Sardinia. Magnificent views of the mountains and close to the Golfo. Rooms are lovely, clean, and cozy. The garden and all facilities are superb. The restaurant is delicious with homemade and fresh food and fantastic personal service. The biggest plus are all the people who make Guthiddai so special. Everyone was super attentive, helpful, and kind. It was our great pleasure to stay here and we will certainly be back and recommend it to anyone. A special mention to our friend Marcello who made every breakfast a celebration and gave us lots of great advice and help.
