Staying here felt like stepping into a vivid dream: full of colors, beauty, and peace. The photos are stunning, the reviews are glowing, and while they are all true, they cannot capture the experience of being here. This is much more than a hotel — it is a living center of Sardinian history and culture. Giovanna and her husband have done an exceptional job transforming what was once a humble family restaurant into an extraordinary universe for both locals and visitors. Time seems to stop inside. The property is larger than expected, with quite a few stairs (something to be aware of), and everywhere you look there are thoughtful details. The rooms are charming and comfortable, with beds designed for rest and interiors that feel like home rather than a typical hotel. The corridors are lined with art, traditional costumes, and books — a living tribute to Sardinia’s heritage. Take the time to explore it all; it’s worth it. From the garden with homegrown herbs and chickens, to the different bars, to the quiet corners filled with color and character — every space inspires wonder. Breakfast was lovely, with quality ingredients and plenty of choice, and during the day there were other dining options available. We also took part in one of their experiences — the centenary tradition — and it left us speechless. I won’t spoil it, because it is something you must discover for yourself, but it moved me deeply, and even now I feel emotional just recalling it. The combination of setting, food, storytelling, and history made it one of the most special experiences I have ever had. This is not just a place to stay — it is an immersive journey that makes you feel warm, cared for, and connected to something bigger. Thank you to Giovanna, her husband, and the whole team. We will absolutely be back, because once you’ve lived this, there is no other option. ♥

Positive: This hotel was a visual delight! The staff were fantastic, going above and beyond to accommodate us when the double room we booked could not be converted into two single beds for our adult children. They generously upgraded them to a higher-priced room while keeping costs reasonable, ensuring our stay was as seamless and enjoyable as possible. The hotel truly felt like the retreat they market to and although we only stayed for one night, we could easily see the value in extending our stay for several days. Please note, however, that there are a significant number of stairs and no apparent lifts, though the staff were always ready and eager to assist. Both breakfast and dinner were exceptional, offering a true feast, and the views were simply stunning. Dinner perhaps would be a little repetitive if you did stay longer as we did not sight an alternate menu to their amazing roasted meat delight!
Negative: The upstairs bar was eye candy, both in decor and vista - and a 'must-do' - straight out of a Morrocon movie set, but pricing was exceptionally high, enough for all of us to simply sample the first drink only and leave. And when there is a refurbishment of the rooms, it would be good to change the bed linen : in today's hospitality industry, the use of bedspreads or coverlets, and unwashed blankets in wardrobes, is becoming increasingly outdated. Guests, ourselves included, prefer not to sleep with linen that may have been used by others. Hotels that provide duvets with removable, washable covers, ensuring that guests sleep in freshly laundered bedding without decorative cushions or bed linen used by previous visitors, are setting a higher standard of cleanliness and comfort. The practice of using bedspreads and cushions that have been handled by prior guests is deemed vintage and no longer acceptable. This approach is the way forward in meeting modern guest expectations.
