.Our cosy modern courtyard apartment is situated at the back of our property. The private entrance takes you into the combined lounge and dining area. The leather lounges, the large TV and DVD player are all in good modern condition. The dining table can seat 4. WiFi is supplied, as is Foxtel to the TV. An airconditioner is also in this area,
Off the area is the compact but sufficient kitchen that includes dishwasher, full fridge, full oven ,hotplates, nespresso coffee machine and microwave. All the utensils needed as well as crockery and glasses are supplied. A small pantry of food basics is also available for your convenience as well as some breakfast items.
Down the hallway is the first bedroom, the smaller of the two, with a comfy single bed already made up with sheets and doona.
Further down the hall is the bathroom with heated floors and heated towel rails, all towels supplied. Also here is the washer and dryer for your use. Across the hallway is a separate toilet with its own vanity and also heated floors.
The main bedroom is the last room and it overlooks a small secure courtyard that a dog is welcome to occupy. A doggie door can be provided if your doggie likes to use one. The bedroom itself has built-in robes and a wall mounted TV and a comfy made up queen-size bed, all sheets and doonas supplied.
All of the bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms have in floor heating that is really comfy in the colder months. Other areas of the flat have electric heaters for your comfort. In the warmer months there is cooling air-conditioning.
Of course ironing equipment is also provided but no-one really wants to iron on their holiday!
The apartment is strictly a no-smoking zone.
We live upstairs and also have 3 dogs that are separated from the apartment so you can appreciate why we ask that no parties or large gatherings occur in the apartment.
Our house and the apartment back onto Mt Ainslie directly and there are many trails and tracks to explore from this area less than 500m away. This reserve is part of the Bicentennial National trail and is well used by joggers and walkers. Dogs are very welcome in the reserve but on leash only. The biggest attraction is the Australian War memorial within walking distance through the bush.
Pets are welcome in the property but not on the furniture. It would be appreciated if all pet products are picked up after your stay. Please do not leave your dog inside when you go out, unless you are absolutely sure they are not in a "chewing" stage. there is the sheltered courtyard for a doggie to enjoy.
The area itself is a suburban area and transport will be required to access the local shops however, Ainslie is well serviced by home delivery enterprises. The other main attractions of Canberra are within a very short drive from here or a short bike/scooter ride .
Off street undercover parking is available.
