Summary: Adrian gave us very clear and useful instructions prior to our departure date. Upon arrival, the house itself was clean and sheets and towels provided. Even though the house itself was rather small, all amenities were up to our expectations. The airco was a treat allowing us to go to bed in a cool room, no problems with the Wi-Fi. And the - very large and covered - terrace was just perfect. We practically lived on it during our stay. The only minus was the television, which did not work very well. Under normal circumstances, we would not even consider this to be a minus, as we do not watch television during the holidays. But as we were in Portiragnes-plage just when the Tour de France was on ... The - sandy - beach is only a 10-minute walk from the house and if, on occasion, we wanted to take more than just a few items with us, the parking right next to the beach is free of charge. Portiragnes itself is a perfect base for visiting places such as Agde, Béziers, Montpellier, Pézenas and many others. In short, we really enjoyed our stay.

Summary: The villa is very well equipped throughout and can comfortably cater for four people with the capacity to cater for six. It was clean and tidy on arrival wth fresh linen provided. The villa matched the owners decription. Well secured with a key pad system. The addition of multi channel TV catering for many nationalities is a big plus as is the provision of a multi room air conditioning system. Well placed within the domaine to provide you with loads of privacy ie not overlooked. Covered patio area with beautiful eating and sun lounger furniture and bbq added to our enjoyment of the villa. Close to beach and all other amenities. There is a beach bar which is only a 10 minute walk offered us the chance to relax with a latte or local wine or stronger and offered up a superb dining experience at lunch and evening. A plethora of cafes and restaurants and shops are but a ten minutes walk away. Felt safe and secure throughout the holiday. An absolute pleasure to stay in.

Summary: We spent 6 days at Adrian's place visiting my stepson who is working locally for the summer. The villa is in a great location just on the edge of town so away from too much noise but just a 10 mi walk from the bars restaurants and beach when u want them. The villa is great with aircon in the bedrooms and lounge which was really good. It is furnished with everything u would need and comes with nice crisp sheets and fluffy towels. We had a problem with the wifi not working when we arrived - which with a partner who needed to work and two teenagers was a nightmare - but Adrian got it all sorted within 24hrs so no major disaster. A great break which was not long enough - so hope to return !

Summary: We booked with Adrian, the owner, via his site and the pictures, don't tell the whole story. They looked good, and once we had decided on the location, we chose Adrian's villa in the South of France. The villa is just lovely, has everything you need for 2 weeks including a washing machine. We had amazing weather 40+ degrees every day and the odd thunderstorm at night, which lit up the sky in spectacular form. The beds are comfy, the A/C works a treat (and is much needed in the hot sun) and the covered area in the outside seating area, was great, as it kept the glare of the sun away, and we could sit outside from morning till late at night. We had to contact Adrian a couple of times, just about local things like where to eat, and he always answered swiftly by email. Brilliant owner really, he was great in the lead up to the holiday, providing us with enough info and whenever we had a question, he answered tirelessly. Property is delightful, clean, and spacious, the corner plot is great, as it is so private, with no one looking onto you. The BBQ is amazing, much easier to clean than a stand BBQ or a gas one. The charcoal taste is lovely and it is so easy to shop for fish, chicken or steak. Plentiful shops nearby either daily in the village, or larger supermarkets dotted around (including Aldi and Lidl). Plenty of places to pick up cheap wine (and good at that as well). Lots of places to visit, and a list in the villa of what to do as well. Walking to the beach was simple and no more than 10 minute, it is that close and the beach bar is brilliant for food and drink, the prices were very reasonable as well (for the South of France). We would love to go back, and have nothing but brilliant memories of the villa and the surrounding area. We went to spend as much time on the beach, with our girls (11/17) and we managed that, with about 11 days straight at the beach. Perfect place for a relaxing family holiday. The shared pool is nice enough, but not much shade at the pool, so just be aware of that. Descriptions are on point and accurate, but overall, just brilliant, and Adrian is such a good owner, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa to friends or family and indeed we have done that already. La Gambille, just off the Canal Du Midi, is well worth a visit. If you take bikes, it is just over 5 miles each way from the villa, and the food, atmosphere and ambience is brilliant.

Summary: We (a family of five) stayed at Adrian’s villa for three weeks in August 2013. The interior was clean and presentable, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed (especially the corkscrew and wineglasses!). The only minor issue we had with the downstairs was a slight lack of preparation space for meals, however the extendable kitchen table was brought into use here. Both bedrooms are of a reasonable size, and a real plus is the air-conditioning (essential here in August), which quickly cooled down the bedrooms before we slept. Another plus is the wi-fi. The outside of the villa is just perfect; a spacious terrace edged with flowering shrubs and large dining table, where we ate every meal from breakfast through to those late holiday dinners. And the barbeque was put to very good use. The complex is peaceful, attractive and well set out, the gravel paths and greenery of the gardens giving it a village feel. We felt comfortable in allowing our three children (9 to 12 year olds) out on their own in the early evening, and they loved it, making lots of friends in the process. And the on-site swimming pool is a real bonus to have. We would happily return to Adrian’s villa for another main holiday. Thanks Adrian!

Summary: We have just enjoyed two weeks at Adrian's villa in Portaraignes. The location is great for proximity to lovely natural beaches and also wooded walks and cycle paths. There are plenty of great places to visit all within an hours drive. The kitchen at the villa is well equipped and we certainly enjoyed the Internet and the television in the evenings. Adrian was very attentive and gave us as much help and advice as we needed and gave very clear details about the villa. All in all we we were very happy with our stay and would recommend this villa to those looking for a beach/cycling holiday.

Summary: I stayed at Adrian's villa during the first two weeks of June 2013. While there I had a wonderful time and made friends with many of the locals in the village. Doing the grocercies was a ten minute walk away. The menus presented to us in the local restaurants were excellent and price competitive. The beach was a five minute journey and the magnificent Canal du Midi was just up the road. For the first time in many years I went cycling along the Canal. Adrian's villa was clean and well looked after. It was nice to have the BBC News in situ and the connection with hifi allowed me to keep in touch with work at home. The kitchen was supplied with every modern convenience and I enjoyed taking all my meals outside on the veranda. Comme la vie est belle chez Adrian!
