Positive: The overall stay was great! Very classy furnishing and it is also walking distance to the castle ruins. There is one huge room so even baby could run around just in the room alone. Host was very hospitable. Lots of supplies were provided, which we appreciated, like bananas, cereal, milk etc. Heaters were also already on when we arrived.

Negative: Will be better with 1 more toilet

Positive: Extremely serene and gentle town. Really easy to go for morning walks to local temples and shrines in Japanese countryside. Hosts were very accommodating and welcoming when our wifi didn't work. They provided fresh fruit, bread, milk and juice for the stay which we are pleasantly surprised about.

Negative: Grocery store isn't within walking distance, however we just remembered to buy our groceries in town before coming back to the house. About 10-15 minutes drive. Not really negative, just something to be mindful of.

Positive: Such a pleasure to stay in this nicely renovated Japanese house in a pretty rural area. Kerry was very helpful with advice about the cherry blossom festival and local attractions, and the house was very well equipped including ingredients for breakfast.

Negative: The single beds upstairs were very hard!

Summary: Staying at Gallery House allowed us to experience the Akizuki area in a relaxed and enjoyable way.
