5 Bedroom Villa in Monforte del Cid

Self catering luxury five bedroom villa with large private swimming pool, Wi Fi and located on the edge of a quiet, urbanisation just ten minutes drive from the centre of Alicante, the beach. Fantastic views to Alicante and the mountains.
On entering the property you are in a large lounge area with open fire and air-conditioning. The diner is to the left and then through to the fully equipped kitchen area. To the rear of the kitchen there is a laundry room and door to the rear garden area and swimming pool.
To the right of the lounge is an archway leading to two double bedrooms, one with large double bed and en suite facility, The other has twin single beds and there is a toilet between the two bedrooms. All bedrooms have been fitted with ceiling fans.
The stairs to the first floor are at at the rear centre of the lounge area. At the top of the stairs there area double patio doors leading onto a solarium which has fantastic views of the area and down to the sea. To the right of the stairs is a large double bedroom with large double bed an en suite bathroom with shower over bath and two hand basin for him and her. To the left of the stairs are a further two double bedrooms with twin single beds. A shower is situated between the two bedrooms.
This property is not overlooked and is in a quiet location and walking distance to the local bar and sports area of the urbanisation.
Beautifully newly furnished property with air-con in the lounge area, tastefully decorated with leather reclining sofas, one two seater and the other a three seater. Selection of books and games for your enjoyment. TV and dvd player,

There are large terraces around the outside of the property which is totally private. Large 10x5 meter swimming pool with sunbathing area to the side. There is a pergola with dining seats below to take shade from the sun. There is a further pergola and seating area to the front of the house. At the rear of the house is a private driveway. Beautiful established garden surrounding the villa.

Summary: The house was great. Lovely outside area with a fantastic pool. Upstairs bedrooms were quite warm, but other than that no problems at all. Karen was very helpful and quick to respond.

Summary: The villa was nice and clean. Karen is very friendly and helpfull. We were with 9 people but the tables, chairs and beds at the pool aren’t for 9 people, although we figured it all out and had a nice stay. The aircon is only in the living room and the bedrooms have fans so it can be a little warm in the bedrooms. A tiny supermarket is half an hour of walking so we recommend to rent a car; taxi’s don’t get there easily as well. You can order your grocery shoppings tho.

Summary: The villa was a short drive from Alicante and not far from Santa Pola and Benidorm. However hugely benefits from the quiet so you can choose a lively busy environment or enjoy the quiet of the villa. We had a party of 10 that fit well into the villa everyone had their own space. There is a front terrace and front balcony and the back terrace with the pool. The pool was child friendly with steps into a shallow end and a substantial deep end for the adults. We had table and chairs front and back and some sun loungers too. Great sun spot for those wanting to top up their tan. Plenty of fridge/freezer space and laundry facilities. Karen was great with communication and was open to questions during our stay if we required her. Amazing views of the Spanish mountains and BBQ was ample for a family of 10! The children had a blast and were in the pool until midnight on some nights (we were in a heatwave). We treated the house as we would our own homes and would highly recommend. As UK residents we dont have a pool at home and went armed with suncream for the children, however we did have to buy special suncream that wouldnt ruin the pool so consider that, however Karen was very helpful and provided an image and where to buy. We used our suncream for when we were out and about so it did not go to waste. Thank you Karen x

Summary: The villa is beautiful, lots of outdoor space and equipped well with everything you could need. The balcony is perfect for watching the sunrise and sunset. The beds are comfortable and the villa is clean. The upstairs shower though could not be used because it was hard to keep the water in the cubicle and it would end up that the bathroom and landing floors got very wet, not ideal on the tile floor and staircase. Also the temperature whilst we were there was 38° so sleeping upstairs with no air conditioning was also not much fun. We stayed as 3 families, 6 adults and 3 children so moved one of the single beds into the other twin room so that the children could all sleep together, this was not a problem. As I've said, the villa was beautiful but customer service from Karen was not good. On the day of arrival she was around 40 minutes late meeting us at the villa, leaving us standing outside with no shade in the blazing midday sun. When she did arrive, she didn't bother to apologise. We had to clean the pool when we arrived as there was lots of dead bugs and other bits of dirt sitting at the bottom of it. By day 2/3 the pool looked very murky and we called Karen who was very abrupt and said that it was because we were using sun lotion, also that there was 9 of us and the pool is only small. I argued the point that it was 38° so of course we were using sun screen and the villa sleeps 10 so what did she expect. We have stayed in lots of villas as a party of 9, have always used sun screen and never had this problem before. She eventually agreed to call round herself and send the pool guy at lunch time that day. Karen never bothered coming but the pool guy did and even he shook his head at the pool. The pool then had to be treated which meant it was out of use for the day. As the pool guy didn't speak English we had to call Karen back around 3 times to find out exactly what was happening as she didn't bother to let us know. We also text Karen to find out how to put the pool lights and outdoor light on the stairs on, she never bothered to reply. A couple of days after the treatment, the pool was perfect and you could see a clear difference in it from the day we had arrived. There is also a wasps nest outside which we advised Karen about but anything negative you tell her she just completely brushes off as if you haven't spoken. 5 of us came home with ear infections caused by bacteria, I don't believe it's from the use of sunscreen in the pool!

Summary: This is a beautiful property well laid out and very clean. We stayed when the temperature was around 35 degrees the only negative about the property is the air con is on the ground floor, so upstairs of a night the bedrooms were very very hot. (the two downstairs bedrooms were fine) The pool is ideal for children with a shallow end slopping to deep water, it is cleaned frequently. The owner was very helpful and even translated via phone to the medical centre when my daughter got sick. The area that the property was in is under development and there are currently no shops within walking distance so a car is a must. We had a lovely holiday and look forward to returning to the propery.
