Summary: The pictures do not do justice to the spaciousness of the property and garden. Lots of little thoughtful touches from Peter set the tone of the holiday. Importantly when we had an issue with the downstairs toilet he arranged for someone to come and sort it.

Summary: The owner send us detailed information and tourist info before our checkin which was very helpful. The property was easy to find. The house was more than large enough for our group of 7. The garden is spacious and enclosed which was nice for the two young dogs. Bakery and supermarket is close by. The house is on the outskirts of the village on a small road which makes it a quiet and peaceful just to relax in the garden. We also enjoyed the beach at Touquet and the view at Cap gris. We had a nice week.

Summary: Large, well-equipped and with plenty of character. We liked the living room with wood-burner and a large scree, high-definition TV complete with Netflix and other channels. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom was good for my parents, especially as the stairs are steep. One bedroom was a bit colder, due to a high ceiling, but the duvets were very warm. Fruges is a small town with good baker and pizzeria and close to the site of the battle of Agincourt. We used the house as a base for trips to Arras and WW sites (Vimy ridge, the Wellington quarry and German war cemetery}, the Lens Louvre museum, Etaples and Le Touquet on the coast and even an outing to Ypres and Ghent in Belgium. So well located for all of this. Peter was very helpful with suggestions for WW1 sites to visit and help re fuses and keys. The house has plenty of books and maps etc re the local area and the WW1 sites in Flanders and Northern France.

Summary: Perfectly located for where our family wanted to visit and had everything we needed at the house. Only minor downside was that we couldn't get French TV for the kids to practise their French, and we couldn't watch DVDs because the player was broken. Not a big problem as there was plenty to amuse the kids in the big garden and up the road at the tennis court.

Summary: A fantastic stay at the house! Plenty of room for the 9 of us, all the rooms are a good size. Peter the owner of the house was very helpful and always responded to any questions we had very quickly! Fruges is a lovely little town, with a good supermarket, little bars and tourists information centre. We would definitely stay at the house again!

Summary: Myself and sisters family stayed during the christmas period, just over 8 days. 4 adults and 4 children (ages12, 5, 5 and 2) The house was plenty big enough for us all to spend time togather and alone. The bedrooms are massive with big comfy beds, i think there all queen or king The kitchen has everything needed for cooking, coffee machine and dishwasher made life much easier. My only niggle with kitchen is the oven isn’t fan assisted so took yonks to cook anything, but this just allowed more wine time! Wifi is excellent and good telly with amazon fire stick. (although we didn’t use it) There’s also a lovley fire with plenty of wood, but because of small children we didn’t use as their tornados and didn’t want to risk any accidents. The park just few houses up, swimming pool and bowling in nearby Hesdin, there’s also the outdoor dry ski slope about 45 mins drive, which is €10per hour and includes all equipment. Eating at local pizza restaurant is a must, best i’ve had in years and the owners speak some english which makes ordering easier. The house has a really lovley homie feel and we really enjoyed our christmas, Peter has been excellent in his communication and providing local information and house instructions, which made staying easy. We’re looking to return in the summer to enjoy the nearby water parks and beaches.

Summary: We enjoyed a good week at this property. The property is well equipped and comfortable. The heating is very efficient which was great, as we had a couple of bitterly cold days. We used this property as a base for visiting WWI and WWII sites as well as the coast at Le Touquet and Berck. The town of Fruges has a choice of supermarkets and bakeries all within a short drive / easy walk. We were very impressed with the rapid response and helpful information from the owner.

Summary: Really enjoyed our stay at this lovely spacious house in Fruges. Excellent location and the owner Peter was extremely helpful and eager to provide us with as much information as possible to ensure we had plenty to do and make the most of the area. Beautiful beaches not far as well as lots of other places of interest. Would definitely consider coming again!
