Positive: Alma was a wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Old San Juan. If Old San Juan is the destination this felt like the optimum spot. The building fits the setting yet the interior is fully fresh and modern. Though we only dined at Mar&Rosa the food options are excellent for any meal required. The seafood at Mar&Rosa was great. Next time we will try Andaluz. The coffee shop seemed great as well though there were a number of great coffee shops just a few steps from the hotel as well. The room was spacious and the beds very comfortable. The staff was very welcoming. I will highly recommend this place to anyone visiting San Juan.

Positive: Having a car was the biggest problem. Would not stay again if we had a car. We had to find parking. The hotel gave us a list. Fist one was full the second place was a little sketchy. But it worked

Positive: I loved the location, I loved my room which was large, had an incredible shower, wonderful mirror for doing makeup and getting ready, and plenty of closet and drawer space.

Negative: I didn't like the security within the hotel. The rooftop is open to outside guests, which is fine, but there was no way to ensure outside guests aren't roaming the floors with rooms. That made me feel slightly unsafe.

Summary: Comfortable, quaint, convenient with beautiful decor.
