Positive: Amazing location overlooking the river with a lovely pool enjoyed by all. Attention to detail with furnishings to suit the age and atmosphere of the Gite. A very high standard and easy access to airport and Bergarac.

Positive: Beautiful Gite - very comfortable and well equipped. Fantastic view of the Dordogne and lovely pool. Host was so helpful and friendly.
Negative: Not a criticism at all but would have been nice if there was a shop closer to property selling essentials but the host did offer to bring some shopping. Would hire a car next time ๐Ÿ™‚

Positive: The house was well equipped and very relaxing. The pool and garden was so peaceful and you could make the most of the sun in the daytime and the beautiful sunsets in the evening. There was plenty of space to enjoy the table tennis and being able to have some time out of the sun by the river. Everything was great.
Negative: We liked everything.

Positive: 'Along The River' is a beautiful Gite on the banks of the Dordogne. The house is extremely well equipped & we all had a wonderful stay there. Corinne and her family were excellent hosts & the meal delivered by her Mum on our last evening was absolutely amazing! Can highly recommend - you really won't be disappointed!

Positive: This is probably my all time favorite house rental in the world. The host was incredibly gracious and generous of her time. The house was immaculate and perfectly decorated, each room so cute and quaint. Also, the towels in the bathroom were exquisite and they even supplied face cloths! The kitchen was extremely well stocked with lovely glasses and plates. The seating area was comfortable and inviting. We were there in March so we couldn't take advantage of the extremely clean pool or the outdoor dining area but I'm sure they would be wonderful in season. The house is located a few miles from the city but it's an easy drive, and there are many convenient grocery stores and boulangeries nearby. We requested dinner, made my the host's mother - it was fabulous and plentiful, traditional regional dishes. I recommend ordering the dinner early during your stay, you'll want to have time to enjoy the leftovers! On our check out day the host insisted we not rush and take our time. That meant so much to us, and we were able to enjoy the morning market in Bergerac before checking out. Our family of 5 was very comfortable, the smallest bedroom has 2 twin beds. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed, with a bathroom between those 2 rooms. the master bedroom had an incredible ensuite bathroom. If more guests are allowed, and stay on the couch in the living room, there's even an extra toilet room off of the nearby laundry room so they don't have to disturb others during the night. If you're looking for a home base in Bergerac/Dordogne region and do day trips from there, this is a wonderful choice and when you come back at night you'll feel like you're coming home!
Negative: We loved everything about this beautiful home. Just remember, there's no real walking area directly from the house to town, but parking is readily available in Bergerac and the nearby grocery stores have their own lots.

Positive: The location next to the river was excellent with a peaceful setting, a lovely heated pool and great accommodation. The recommendations for restaurants and other activities were great too. Overall a great holiday.
Negative: Not much - given the closeness to the river perhaps mosquito screens would be helpful so we could have the windows etc open to keep the house cool without the uninvited guests. :)
