Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very happy with the accommodations at Altagracia. The beds and other furniture were comfy, which is always key for me - good sleep is essential for a restorative vacation.The home was well stocked with a BBQ grill plus all the kitchen tools, cookware and dishes we needed. There were also towels for the shower and beach, plus extra sunscreen and bug spray left behind from prior visitors. The pool was large enough for 7 people to enjoy at once without feeling overcrowded. We really liked the unusual floor plan, which worked great for us: 2 families, occupying 2 bedrooms each. There was just 1 primary bedroom and bathroom connected to the main living space. The other 3 bedrooms were accessible from the exterior, connected by decks and stairs. It provided a little more privacy and quiet that way.The short 5 minute drive to town was also a plus. It was really nice to be nearby but not in the fray. It also felt a little cooler to be elevated on the hill. (It was toasty and humid in June. We were grateful for fans in the rooms, and air conditioning that worked well.) Finally, we absolutely loved the views. It was relaxing to watch the ferries come and go, day and night. This is a gorgeous property that feels well maintained. It's a trek getting to USVI from California, but we had a wonderful time. If we ever return to St John, we'd happily stay here again.

This vacation rental exceeded our expectations...it was everything as advertised and so much more. The location was perfect to enjoy all the celebration activities, restaurants and grocery stores...will need to rent a vehicle or use a taxi. Thank you so much...we’ll be back!!!

We Could not have asked for a better Villa! The Views were incredible and it was 5 min from downtown Cruz Bay! Everything was completely stocked and the outdoor pool and gas grill took up most of our time! Check in was a breeze and everybody was extremelyHelpful if we needed something! Perfect house for a group of 8! 10/10 would recommend Altagracia!!

Summary: The property is absolutely beautiful. There was plenty of space to spread out and have privacy. The sun decks were where we spent most of our time. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. Would definitely stay here again!

Pros- big pool and lounging area, top and bottom decks had beautiful views, big bedrooms, outdoor shower, dishwasher, ice maker, 2 coolers provided, 5 min to Cruz Bay Cons- no AC or bathroom in main living space, one of the bedrooms had a leaking roof and the bathroom had a shower curtain as a door

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at the villa. The sunsets were fantastic, the visits by the iguanas were entertaining, and the kitchen was well stocked. The only suggestion I would have is to put handles / pulls on the drawers, accessing them was a bit tough at times. The lack of AC in the common area is disappointing but not a deal breaker- AC worked excellent in the bedrooms. We would definitely come back.
