ALTAMIRA is an old typical basque construction, refurbished and recovered into a BIFAMILIAR house. It is located in the quiet and peaceful rural area of Askizu, in the tourist town of Getaria. A few minutes from the beaches of Zumaia, Getaria and Playa Gris, one of the most significant surf spots of the Basque coast. ALTAMIRA is on the "Camino de Santiago" which runs between extensive vineyards where our world famous white wine, "Txakoli", is extracted.
The house is divided in 3 floors that retain the original wooden structure of a Basque farmhouse. Ground floor with kitchen and large living room. First floor with 3 bedrooms and penthouse floor with another 2 bedrooms. The accommodation has 3 full bathrooms. The house has wide spaces for families to enjoy, especially abroad. If anything distinguishes the house are the gardens. To the east, the colorful bougainvillea climbs the facade, a large palm tree and the shade of a great vine will accompany in your best evenings. West, extensive and modern gardens will make you enjoy unforgettable sunsets over the sea.
The adjoining house is occasionally inhabited by the owners of the village. If you're lucky enough to match them and, only if you want it, you can listen to his wise advice on the best restaurants, tours and excursions around the area.
