Positive: The apt was walking distance to the event I was attending that evening. The downtown view is really quite pretty. Neighborhood is in the process of being gentrified. The apartment décor was pleasant. The shower water was hot. The bed was firm. I woke to a lovely sunrise over the city and had a great breakfast at nearby BLOC.
Negative: I booked on Thurs for a Fri night stay. Fri morning I received a welcome message and check-out instructions - asked me to confirm the dates (already in the message) and that I had 8 people (just 1) and said they hoped I was enjoying my stay (which had not begun.) Check-in instructions did not arrive when they were promised, so I messaged them. The host would not provide me the check-in instructions until after a phone interview. He said it was because I had a local phone number, and they have had issues with locals wrecking their properties. This was extremely off-putting to me and I almost took his offer to cancel. The apartment was in the basement of a house with rickety wooden stairs to the door. The door code I was given did not work. The flooring was coming apart. The porch decking was rotting. The shower drain was slow and left me standing in two inches of water. There was hair on the bathroom floor and cobwebs on the lights. I would not expect these things with such a high cleaning fee. I did not use the kitchen, but I noticed that the promised bottled water was missing. The bedding was extremely fragrant, which I did not like. I was warned that I would be able to hear the renters above me, and I could clearly hear them walking around. Not stomping or dancing or doing anything out of the ordinary, just walking around until about 1am. I almost left at that point to drive home, but cranked up my white noise app instead. In the morning I messaged that I had left, and got a reply that said "your checkout is tomorrow?"

Positive: very convenient to go to places downtown, you have your own parking, very nice surrounding homes, close to a kroger/family dollar, gorgeous view off the balcony
Negative: the nature going down the stairs could use some trimming, small details like dusting

Positive: This apartment has a huge kitchen for its relative size, and a large bedroom with a king size bed. The back porch is very cute and has views of the city. Incline District is a fantastic neighborhood with a coffee shop, gastropub, and formal Italian restaurant all with two blocks. Tons of free street parking.
