Large, beautiful 3 bedroom house located in Coal Creek Canyon, amazing mountain views, large living spaces with pool table, hot tub, games & more. Easy access to fantastic area attractions like Red Rocks Amphitheater, Eldora Mountain, Denver, Golden and nightlife in Black Hawk! Live the mountain life by savoring the gorgeous wooded views or head up to Nederland or Estates Park to browse quaint shops and grab a coffee!
Our Private Mountain Cabin located in the Rocky Mountains at an impressive 8,700 feet elevation offers stunning views of Evergreen and Aspen trees, mountain peaks, at night you will see the city lights, and the occasional visit from local wildlife.
As you enter your mountain getaway on the main floor you will find a large living space with views to die for, the gourmet kitchen offers double ovens, coffee and tea, and is equipped with all essentials you will need to make meals. On the deck off of the kitchen you will find a grill and some more amazing mountain views.
The primary bedroom is located on the main level just off of the living room, with a recently renovated master bath with his and hers sinks and dual shower heads for extra relaxation. Enjoy your morning coffee on the private patio and watch the sunrise.
There is a half bath and laundry room on the main level as well
As you walk down stairs you will find a second living area, ideal for families or larger parties. A pool table, bar, board games, large tv are perfect for staying in. You can also take in all of the magnificent views from the 3rd deck patio where you can easily seat 10 people as well enjoy a soak in the 7 person hot tub.
Two guest rooms can be found downstairs along with a large full bath.
While Mountain Gem feels just the right amount of secluded, you’re still only:
• 25 minutes away from Golden and Boulder,
• 30 minutes away from Eldora Mountain Ski Resort,
• 20 minutes away from Black Hawk/Central City gambling
• 20 minutes away from West Arvada.

Check-in is after 3pm. There are lots of uncovered parking spaces in our driveway.
For guests staying from November to April please note that 4WD/AWD vehicle is REQUIRED in winter driving conditions. Roads are all county-plowed and maintained but winter conditions may exist at any time between September-May.

Summary: Overall the house was very well maintained. There were plenty of back up toiletries and spices and items to cook with. They also had coffee and filters, so just bring you meals to cook. The setting is great and enjoyed the well maintained got tub! Definitely recommend..

Summary: Beautiful home with amazing views. Plenty of space and the hot tub was clean and hot with great views. Very accessible owners with great communication and easy door access. The only downfall is the drive up the hill. It takes a while because of the winding and I would not want to do in the snow. Wish we could have spent more time!

Summary: Scenic views and fresh air! Its close enough to the city but far enough for some quiet! Very spacious where everyone in the family could read, watch tv, paint or just sleep! Our dogs loved watching all the squirrels from the deck too! Sara is VERY responsive and checks in to make sure your stay in the best! Kitchen had everything we needed to make all meals. Great library and pool table too!

Summary: Initially, our impression was good; nice location, awesome views & the house was decorated beautifully. But we started to notice things around the property that were not taken care of. On the first day we had decent contact with the owner. She answered our questions and also a text when I gave her a compliment about how pretty her house was. We were aware of a hole in the downstairs bathroom ceiling (which we were fine with), but she neglected to tell us the issue had not been fixed. So when the shower in master bath didn't drain properly, it flooded into the downstairs bathroom. This rendered the upstairs shower pretty much unusable. We were also unable to use the downstairs shower, because it didn't seem to be hooked up. I contacted the owner to ask about how to get the downstairs shower to work and tell her about the drainage/flooding issues, but her communication completely stopped. Other issues included the glass door to the balcony literally falling of it's hinges (attached by 1 hinge), an uncovered outlet in the wall, an outlet in the downstairs bedroom smelled like burning plastic when the tv was on, there were no instructions on how to use the tv's, the ice maker didn't work, the wifi extender went out, there were no butter knives and only a few spoons, the drawer pulls had extended over 3" into the drawers & had sharp edges, there was old food on the floor in the bedroom. Most importantly, the owner would NOT respond after we contacted her regarding the issues.

Summary: We had a wonderful time staying in Golden at this rental - the house was clean and inviting (looks even better than the pictures!) and the communication throughout the entire process (booking, check in/out, etc) was excellent! Needing a 4WD/AWD vehicle to get there is no joke since you are driving up into the mountains, but the property was very easy to locate & the drive into Golden or even to Boulder or Denver wasn’t bad at all! We were all extremely pleased with this rental and will book again the next time we visit Golden/Denver!

Summary: The pictures do not do the great views justice. It is a spacious home and plenty to do. We will be back when we can stay longer. Great kitchen and plenty of space to lounge inside and out.
