Mountain sunsets and forest views: a modern getaway that is not far away. Two large sized and private bedrooms with beautiful views of the continental divide and their own bathrooms. Whether visiting for business or pleasure, this ideal location gives easy access to Boulder, Golden, Nederland's El Dora ski resort and Blackhawk casinos. Gross Reservoir fishing & kayaking, Golden Gate State Park and Walkers Ranch hiking/biking trails are even closer.
Convenient store(s) just 5 min down the hill. Despite the convenient location, the 2.5 acre wooded lot looks and feels secluded. Full covered patio and porch swing allows for relaxing views of snow-covered peaks I was the continental divide . A shuffleboard court and dart board also in place for those wanting some home-based fun when not out enjoying the beautiful front range.
This rental is for both bedrooms and both bathrooms, plus common and patio areas. This rental also features use of the covered garage for one vehicle which will eliminate scraping time in the morning on snowy days. Also provides a bear-proof place for any trashbags or recyclying which we will dispose of for you.
Weather normally cooler than downtown Golden (elev 5675') where Molsen Coors brewery is located. See nearby Wondervu, CO at 8600' or Pinecliffe, CO at 8060' for a comparison of how weather can change with elevation. . Last “rest assured” Note: This property does indeed have a Jefferson county STR permit number. This eliminates risk of county inspectors interfering with your reservation unexpectedly.

Summary: After driving 12 hours was told place had not been cleaned and asked us to leave and come back. Check-in process did not go smoothly, property owner not sure how process works. Location is beautiful and property is as described.

Summary: The views were amazing, there was sufficient space in the apartment, 2 full bathrooms instead of one as listed so that was all good. I was unaware that the owners live in the 2nd level of the house which would have been fine except they didn’t respect privacy. There is a “private” garage for the renters on level one. The first day we were there, the wife came into the garage a couple times and my husband asked if this would continue during our stay. She said no. The husband called me that evening to let us know contractors would be working in the garage the following day. That’s fine. We came back from a day out the following day and the contractor and the husband were inside the apartment with tubes lying everywhere. They were coming in and out for a bit before wrapping up. He hadn’t told me they would be in the apartment we were staying in. A couple days later they were doing contract work upstairs, that was incredibly loud with non-stop banging until I finally texted him around 8pm asking how much longer this would go on. He wrapped it up about 8:30. We ended up leaving that night (a night early). He shouldn’t have rented the place out if they were doing contract work or construction. Also, the listing should disclose the owners live onsite and may come and go.

Summary: My wife, son and I were flying out of Denver International airport, and read about crime problems around the hotels out that way, so decided to check out VRBO properties that would allow us to extend the "in the mountain" aura while being a reasonable distance to the airport. This property seemed to fit the bill. We arrived at the end of a week of skiing, so arrived at 5 or so tired and hungry, only to discover than any groceries or restaurants were 20 to 30 minutes away. This would have been great info to have earlier, as we could have grabbed groceries somewhere along the route. Luckily, some blessed soul left a box of spaghettie, unopened and not expired. The three of us devoured that box of spaghetti, no butter, no sauce, just spaghetti noodles. I guess you can make due with anything, because it actuatlly hit the spot. Better than manuevering back down the mountain in the dark. The next morning, wanted coffe first thing. Two coffeemakers, first one had mold growing in the basket where coffee grounds had been left since last renter; looked like quite some time. Second coffemaker was filthy as well, but thank goodness water was good and hot, so gave it a thorough washing and risked any resistant bugs and drank a cup of coffee. Caffeine additions are a bummer.Nothing bad happened, so the cleansing must have worked. Needless to say, we headed out for breakfast. Running out of room, so bed bad, pillow worse.

Summary: Good location for hiking and visiting Boulder, Golden, and Red Rocks. Beautiful view from the deck! Necessary amenities and suggestions for the area are provided. WiFi worked well. Beds were comfortable with nice bedding and linens. Plenty of cookware and paper products. Ample room and parking. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is suggested for the winding dirt roads and driveway up the mountain.

Summary: Better than advertised! Great value and ADA accessible! Very clean, quiet and scenic! One hour from the Denver International Airport; a good central location on the Front Range for all of our activities and day trips to Boulder, Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Manitu Springs, Rocky Mtn. National Park, Dinosaur Ridge, Red Rock, Morrison, Staunton State Park, Buffalo Bill Cody Museum, Golden and Denver. If we are ever in this part of the country, we will definitely be staying here again!

Summary: We had a wonderful time in Coal Creek celebrating a friend's birthday. The property is clean and well maintained. The host was incredibly responsive and welcoming. Lost Gulch Overlook is a short drive away and is must see to believe. Five stars all around. Thank you!
