Summary: Despite a few minor on-going renovations, which we were made aware of, we really enjoyed our stay at this home. The home is well appointed and contained all the amenities you would need for a long stay. Central air functioned well, and the kitchen had plenty of utensils and a full spice rack. Caffe machine is an individual single serve pod. Beautiful home overall and there are grocery stores conveniently located nearby. The views of the bay were fantastic , and a wonderful site to wake up to. Plenty of room in the front yard overlooking the bay, with a functioning barbecue, fire pit, and an eating area if you want to eat outside. Would repeat!

Summary: We had a fun trip with 3 couples in this house. It had a ton of kitchen items and spices which was great. You could tell the house was in the middle of a remodel and none of the closets were available for use which was odd. The master bedroom and downstairs dining and family room were super cozy and nice. The other rooms were not updated and were not nearly as nice. Glad we only used 3 rooms as the other 2 needed some help. The backyard was fabulous with an awesome fire pit and outdoor dining table and cozy couch area. The grounds were lush and beautiful. The dock wasn't complete so we couldn't access the water which was a bummer and you can't use the neighbors dock. All in all we had a great time!

Summary: Nice bay house, especially for those living in the DC area (just an hour drive). Walking distance to both Chesapeake and North Beach towns. The house is three floors. The first floor has a small kitchen with a large dining/living room in the back and a bedroom in the front. The bathroom on the 1st floor is a half bath, so the resident of the downstairs bedroom will have to take showers/baths on the 2nd floor. The second floor has a hallway bathroom for three guest bedrooms and master suite, with a king size bed, jacuzzi tub, and a large bathroom. The third floor is really a half floor. It mostly consists of a 'man-cave' with a treadmill, weights, and a projection TV. The afternoons are really nice because the backyard is completely shaded by the house, which allows you to be outside and listen to the waves. Chesapeake and North Beach are not Annapolis, but there is enough to do to make it a fun one week rental. Stuff that we did included hiking Calvert Cliffs, jet skiing, kayaking, swimming in the Bay (watch for jellyfish), biking, visiting Annapolis, eating blue crabs. Stuff that we wish we had done include horse back riding and renting a boat/charter.

Summary: A well furnished and tastefully decorated property with amazing Views! We had an enjoyable visit while being only an hour away from home. The house was large enough to easily accommodate our family of 4 and friends who stopped by to visit for a night or two during the week. We spent most of our time in the backyard facing the bay. There were a couple of maintenance issues with the property, but nothing major that affected our stay. Ana was great to communicate with and a warm host welcoming us with a welcome gift and sweet touches throughout the house. The beaches were closed to public due to Covid and we were not able to visit them even as renters. However, given the jellyfish situation, we didn’t press too hard and found other fun activities to do. We rented a boat a couple of times and had a wonderful time on the bay. All in all, a wonderful week!

Summary: We spent a truly lovely and relaxing two weeks here. Our family of 5 had a wonderful time escaping Capitol Hill and enjoying this gorgeous waterfront property. It was close enough to the city that our friends could make day trips and swim with us in the gorgeous water and then head home in the evening (all of them were jealous of this gem find). The beds were comfortable and clean, the kitchen perfectly adequate for our needs, lots of clean towels for both home and beach available and beach chairs and umbrellas for our use at the beach. There were more TV than anyone could need, and lots of space for people to find a nook to read or play games. The gym was a bonus the media room a favorite of our children’s. The view from the master bedroom is one of the best I’ve had in my very privileged life. I’ll miss that most and Definitely the highlight of this house. Ana has made sure to provide plenty of spices and other condiments for guest use when cooking which was very nice. She also provided laundry detergent, dishwasher liquid garbage bags and even the difficult to come by Lysol!!! Ana is an accommodating and kind hostess who went above and beyond to deal with the limitations of quarantine rules in Maryland. Calvert County is very strict about beaches- but she made sure that we could access the local beaches which are only for county residents at the moment.. (Note: Nearby Brownies Beach is a magical little place that it is unpretentious and full of charming creatures like water snakes, fish, crabs, and butterflies. Our kids spent hours catching and releasing all of them. The only accommodation is a port-a-potty so bring your own stuff to go there.) Truth be told though we didn’t use the public beaches that much, as the water in front of the house is incredibly delicious and only waist high for hundreds of feet (there are a few jellyfish). Though this house doesn’t have its own dock to access water -it’s actually not as difficult as it looks to climb the rocks -and a neighbor a few houses down was lovely enough to allow us access to her dock to get in and out of the water. Do note that the only coffee system available is Keurig(quite a few pods, sugar packs, cream provided) -so if that’s not your thing bring your own coffee maker. The house is super close to everything. Really, if you want a laid-back, water-centric hideaway that’s less than an hour away from the city this is a perfect choice w/ a wonderful hostess.

Summary: This is a nice property with a great location for a stay at North Beach. We were a 3 generation family meeting there for a wedding. The 1st level space is large, open and bright- great for hanging out and meals. The bedrooms are comfortable and adequate for the most part (except for the 3 floor- see below). But there were a series of issues that made our stay harder than it needed to be. 1. This is a beach house with no beach chairs or beach blankets. Ana told us we could rent these at the beach but we were there the week after labor day and no rentals were available. This was a problem. 2. The TV in the main room was hooked up to Netflix only- no TV channel access. We didn't need the TV much but we wanted to watch the opening of the NFL season and couldn't. The other TVs I tried didn't get anything at all- I didn't try all of them. 3. A Keurig is not a coffee pot. We bought coffee and then needed to go out and buy a coffee pot. If you only have a Keurig, then say so and supply coffee for it. 4. The media room on the third floor did not have AC and was unusable on the hot week we had so don't plan on using the pull out bed up there in the summer. 5. The house is designed for a large group but the # of plates and silverware were so limited we needed to run the dishwasher after almost every meal. May people probably mostly eat out but we had young children and mostly ate in. There were other more typical issues with a rental you expect and I could overlook. With a little effort, this could be a better experience. We still had a very good time. D. Weinberg
