Positive: Beautiful room high in the trees with view of the beach and sea. Very comfortable, great AC and nice to have a little kitchen area. Staff could not have been more helpful or friendly - they were always on hand to pick you up for breakfast or dinner or drop you down at the beach - I never waited more than a few minutes. The restaurant had probably the best food in the area and it was a delight to go for breakfast, sunset cocktails and dinner overlooking beautiful island views. I also ordered room service one evening which came promptly and was great.

Negative: Didn't really get a chance to use the pool as is surrounded by vegetation and a lot of mosquitoes around. Similarly, the vegan restaurant with its open windows - constantly worrying about getting bitten! Perhaps some strong citronella or keep some insect repellant around for guests? It would have been nice to have some music around that area of the hotel too to create a little atmosphere as it was a little too quiet. Nevertheless I had a wonderful stay.

Positive: Rainforest paradise. Wonderful location immersed in the rainforest. Monkeys, giant squirrels, birds all around. Room was very comfortable with lots of big windows in all directions to soak up the rainforest views. Staff were super friendly and always helpful. A wonderful stay.

Positive: Gorgeous villas surrounded by trees and nature. Feels like you’re in a treehouse from a children’s storybook! I absolutely adored the decor and the little touches around both the rainforest villa and the pool villa. The food was truly exceptional, especially the high tea they served in our villa. The staff are so smiley and kind. They all went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. I will recommend this villa.

Positive: We (couple) came for an amazing 4 night stay. From arrival to departure, it couldn’t have been better. Every staff member we interacted with was genuine, helpful, and pleasant. This may be the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The breakfast provided by the property was delicious each day and this place was a paradise for animal lovers. Two species of monkeys, multiple bird species, and more that we come across during our stay. Lee and the rest of the staff were such a blessing each day. Highly recommend for all nature lovers.

Positive: One of my favourite moments for my holiday was at Ambong. I love wildlife, so floating in the pool surrounded by monkeys, squirrels and birds was incredible. Staff were lovely and rooms were large and nicely decorated with fresh filtered cold water and a welcome dessert. Food in the restaurant was delicious and I loved the monkey guest.

Negative: Bed was too hard for me. Not suitable for anyone who can't do stairs or steep driveways, but you expect that in a rainforest on a hill.

Positive: A small hotel for nature lovers. We watched monkeys and birds from the balcony every day. The hotel is located on a hill, making the climb particularly challenging. However, the hotel provides a shuttle service to the beach and a neighboring hotel, where breakfast is also available. The staff is very polite and pleasant, always willing to help.

Negative: Internet isn't very good. The restaurant prices are a bit high.
