Positive: It was quirky, with lots of character, and reflected love and passion for Sicilian life. We loved feeling ‘local’ and watching the world go by from the balcony. It was very different from a typical B&B or hotel. Cosy little kitchen area and we liked the bedroom on the upstairs floor up the wooden steps. We were kept well informed by the host Salvatore and his friend who helped us when we arrived, and we appreciated the welcome treats!
Negative: Not a dislike but probably fair to mention that the Wi-Fi isn’t very strong, and as mentioned above the property is only accessible via stairs to its own front door then more stairs inside, and steps up to the main bedroom. We loved it but some may find it more difficult.
Summary: Full of character, we wish we could have stayed longer!

Positive: The host - Salvatore - was excellent: met us at a prearranged time, and gave us a warm welcome. Also lots of nice complimentary treats: juice, macaroons, water, and even a beer! The accommodation is very "boho" and charming, and lots of nice touches (eg silk flowers left on the bed). There's a nice little balcony with room for a table and 2 chairs, which looks over the narrow side street - always things going on to watch! There's a good supermarket very close by, and the apartment is close to the seafront and shops. We thought the accommodation was very reasonable price-wise.
Negative: There are a few things in the accommodation that would be useful to add: eg a kitchen bin with a lid on it, a chopping board, a dustpan and brush, and some kitchen knives. There is no dedicated parking but we managed to find spaces near by. The roads are very narrow so a small car is recommended! Sadly we found the town had limited attractions. There are one or two excellent restaurants but we found many were closed (even in July) and there is limited 'cafe / bar culture'.

Positive: The apartment is really special and cosy. There was water/juices/fruits in the fridge. AC works well. The owner welcomed us in the trainstation and gave us a lift to the apartment and back to the station on the day we left.

Positive: This is a comfortable apartment decorated with imagination and care and perfectly located, right in the center of this pleasant little town. Our host, Salvatore, is a kind and cheerful man who showed us unparalleled hospitality. He did everything conceivable to make sure we were comfortable and would get the most out of our stay. On arrival, we found fresh fruit, cookies, ice cream, beer, wine, and bottled water waiting for us. Salvatore responded instantly to every question or request, provided us with excellent restaurant recommendations, and brought us a beach umbrella that we hadn’t even asked for. He loves Sant’Agata, and he wants his guests to share his affection for it and to enjoy their visit as much as they possibly can. We had a wonderful stay, at the beginning of which we were met by a host and at the end of which we left having made a new friend.
Negative: Both the accommodations and the experience far exceeded our expectations. Neither my wife nor I can think of any criticisms or suggestions for improvement.
